Title: Vista Question: Processes Running...?
Post by: Bosch232 on April 13, 2008, 08:02:56 AM
Running Windows Vista.  Opening the task manager, what's a reasonable number of "Processes" to see listed as running.

Mine says 68.   :uhoh

If you wanna find out what a process is, with a few exceptions, you can do a google search for the process executable that you see in the process list.

You'll find a number of sites that will give you an idea of what the process is doing, why and whether it's safe to turn it off.

That, along with viper's service list should help.
