I was wondering if killing CV/Ships with a SB, as well as planes with CV/field guns has an affect on your overall score?
If it does, why don't we see a top overall gunner each tour, or a Gunner score; like we see a Fighter/Attack/bomber/GV...?
Just a thought, I searched to see if anyone has brought this up before, but found little...
I think it would give some due credit to those who actually take the time to range and kill CVs from SB's or 8", as well as dropping an entire town from the guns.... Also Killing planes from a 5".
Just a thought.

No, it has not.

Well does anyone think that it should? Or perhaps have a 'gunner' rank?

Gunner rank would be good IMO, but gunner scores should not affect your overall score unless HTC makes it so that you can die when in guns.

Good thought. :aok

This has been posted in this exact forum at least twice (now three times) in the past two weeks. You must not have searched very hard.
Regardless, it doesn't affect your score and probably should but not unless you could actually die in a ship or field gun, which you can't.
Another question is, is the score for doing something in a ship or field gun worth it as opposed to the buff driver/attack bomber who comes along and wipes out a ship and lands all those kills on one drop? After all, if you're going to be able to die in a gun someone else is going to get credit for the kill.

I did do a search, look at the original post... I think I was the one who put this up first, the others didn't use the search function.
All Im saying is, I put the effort into taking out a CV with the SB's and the 8in on CVs for basically nothing (Score wise). It is a major part of the game, and think it needs to be recognized. That's all.
