Thanks red26, that's a cool write-up. Really like that first pic. For me, it's always Eagleston's plane that comes to mind when I think P-47. Probably all those Revell kits I built as a kid.

Methinks if I am correct.......... the Author of that story is our own Widewing.

Also I do suggest you get Mr Bodies' book on the 47 and the 38.

Every last detail one could think of is in great detail for both fighters.

Widewing said the Warren Bodie has a huge collection of negatives and photos of WWII aircraft.  Could be the largest collection.
I have to agree. After reading many books on the subject I've seen many photos that were attrbuted to Mr Bodies collection.

And by the by......Widewing is what I consider to be the best source of info for this community.
When he writes.....read and learn.
His suggestions for reading are top notch.
