Post by: BlueTop on April 17, 2008, 10:54:56 PM
Thank you for finally getting the allied players organized  and working together.  And Showing that we can even win one of these war if we all work together and with the right leadership.

Even agenst the mighty Axis forces which  fought bravely  and cunningly and showed there usually very very well played war..   I <Salute> all the axis forces.

I truly hope that we will be able to keep up the high level of game play.   :salute

Thank You

You have got to be joking, it's not hard to win when one side routinely outnumbers the other 3:1.  I mean i don't want to sound horrible, but it's true

I did not know hording and milking was organized But what ever floats your boat. After what 3 weeks of milking hording running and Hoing it's over you finally won a war. Like others said it's a hollow victory.

Face it fellow Axis'ers, our vacant fields were simply no match for the Allied horde.

Jaeger is being too kind.

It's the focus upon winning above all else that has caused such a division in the AvA community.  Twert always so...

I heartily look forward to many a fun fight in the air in the weeks to come.  Where the bases are uncapturable and our cartoon planes are free.

I don't fly for either side on a permament basis, i was stating what i observed in the last couple of weeks, which nobody can deny wasn't true.

So by stating something you claim to be an obvious truth, which I don't dispute, your intention for repeating it must be that you just wanted to be a d%^k?

lol thanks for the personal attack.  You may wish to cleanup the post in which you circumvented the filter before skuzzy sees it.  i'm not sure why you're upset with me, seeing as i was merely responding to flatirons post.  The point is, i'm not a bitter axis pilot who is upset they lost the war, i couldn't care less.  I fly for whichever side has the lowest numbers.  My preference is to fly for the allies but, i haven't done that for quite some time because of the numbers imbalance.  I was trying to show that someone who has no bias for the axis is in agreement with their opinion.

If "Everbody" knows it already, why'd you have to take a shot at it (the thread?)   Don't recall you taking a shot at those Axis posts on winning the war the same way the Allies did.

I must have missed that message but in any event I won't be back in the AvA any time soon and had I seen your message I would have declined to participate for the same reason I declined to participate in the last SEA thing after many many invitations to participate, namely I'm bored to tears in the AvA with the incredibly weak allied players and their ack hugging.  I can get a better fight from the AI drone than from the current crop of bandwidth wasters that fly the AvA.

there are better fights in the MA now even though there are players who do the same thing as in the AvA, namely come in at 25k and run to ack the minute they lose the advantage at least with the greater numbers I get a few good fights every night.

I have read enough.   :furious

Play AvA or Don't play AvA it's your fifteen bucks.  Don't tear down someone's success, to justify your own self worthiness.

The controversial land grab war thing is over now, at least for a little bit.  Suck it up and either participate in AvA (or in development there of) or leave and take your unwelcome comments with you.

Having said this you will most likely see that the new setup, allows for more side changing and has no rewards for griefers.  I do plan to fly both sides to balance when needed (and fly with my good buds there), but only if it does not jeopardize my Allied forum status.

If you think that AvA is going down the tubes because you plan to leave then, take a breath and see how that's working for you.

i totaly agree with you from the few days i saw of the campaign.

May i make clear that i do not care that allies won the war, i do not even care that oaktree gives allies orders to drag us to the ack and vulch us if possible. what bothers me is that more specific allied orders seemed to read ' go to which ever sectors are undefended and kill buildings '. all night long.

the sad part is that this rolling war scenario type thing would be outstanding fun with the right gameplay attitude adopted.
if it really was the war we simulate ALL bases are defended. by default that should point gameplay in the direction of finding each other and fighting it out and only then capturing the base if supression is achieved on either side.

ignorant in what way?  Please feel free to refrain from simple name calling and engage in a conversation, even an argument, at any time.

If "Everbody" knows it already, why'd you have to take a shot at it (the thread?)   Don't recall you taking a shot at those Axis posts on winning the war the same way the Allies did.

Why didn't i "take a shot at the axis"? Possibly because i didn't fly in the AvA when the axis out numbered the allies 3:1 on a regular basis.  I'm sorry but, beating any opposition when you out number them 3:1 in any game is not an acheivement in any sense of the word, and certainly nothing to be encouraged or acknowledged as a good thing.

Edit: if i did occur when i flew, i imagine i would have posted in a similar vein if the axis were posting similar threads

hey old friend ,Ya Oak can rub ya the wrong way but he is not much different from any of us and he means well, as for those tact is ,just for the record that was what was used against the allies in the last two wars ,,and it seams some don't like their own medicine , now as for the side balance ,well i just didn't fly the last couple weeks cause if you switch sides you are subject to all kinds of grief and i was committed to the allied side

give Oak a chance .

How short memories are.  I recall Axis tanks sitting on runways vulching planes taking off with no attempt to take the field.  But that was cute and clever.  I remember big furballs over one base, and then an Axis raid at a base on the other side of the map.  A couple of allies would up and it was OK for the axis to "base suppress" and not let the couple of defenders up.  I recall axis taking a vehicle base when the numbers were 6 to 2 Axis and they would vulch me trying to up to at least give a fight and then call me a baby and dweeb for complaining about being vulched and never allowed to present a fight.  I remember how it was "landing, just not on a runway", rather than ditching.  I recall having to follow an experienced axis stick co-alt to over his base before the engagement could begin.  I remember the terrible talk on 200.  I recall an excellent MA squad mate of mine feeling so violated and offended from that 200 talk that he will never come back to AvA.  Ahhh, I remember .......  The good old days .....  the axis were so noble ....
