Associated Press:
Amid criticism over the way ABC News conducted the Democratic presidential debate Wednesday in Philadelphia, Barack Obama hinted Thursday that there may not be any more debates during the primaries.
He suggested that he had more efficient ways of communicating with voters in North Carolina and Indiana, which will hold primaries on May 6, after Pennsylvania's contest Tuesday.

:rofl What happened!!?? Was the question about the flag lapel pin really that tough? Bill Clinton would have knocked that one over the fence.

Was the question about the flag lapel pin really that tough? Bill Clinton would have knocked that one over the fence.
"It depends upon your definition of what a pin is..." -- a typical Bill response
>>His history of fielding tough questions is what got him disbarred.

I missed that one.Please elaborate :)

I honestly feel Sen Obama is feeling the full effect of what it's like to run against a clinton. I can't imagine it's much fun.
-
Obama can't stand the scrutiny of the media. Finally, they are asking the questions us "ordinary white folks" would ask.
-
If he can't handle the mud from the Clintons, he will fall apart in the general election.
Shame too, I was hoping to hear more from him. At the very least I wanted to hear his plan for the country other than 'hope' and 'change'.
Guess it is 4 more years of what we have now.
-
I think he was "hoping" no one would dare ask
-
Maybe the change isn't the one he hoped for?
-
I was gonna suggest "Mad Dog 20/20 or even Night Train"...but the title of this thread threw me off.
Never mind.

He's right. That was one of the dumbest debates I've ever seen. It could have been held by Rush or Hannity or any other idiot pundit from either side of the aisle to the same effect. Manufactured issues are just that... manufactured. I'm sick of the idiotic turn politics has taken in this Country. Why would it take them over an HOUR to ask a question about a real policy issue?

mt...they might not have been relevant questions to you...but they were to me. There are still questions about his patriotism, religious beliefs, and character that remain largely unanswered. The flag pin query should have been a no-brainer....yet he danced all around it without answering.
By damn, if the man is going to be my president, he should be a little more forthright with his answers, and not pull a Fred Astaire routine. What's so hard about saying that you love and honor your country?
When he says he never knew about the radical views of his minister and long-time friend, I don't believe him....so questions designed to allay my suspicions are relevant.
His comments about rural voters in Pennsylvania cause me, and a lot of other small town middle-Americans, to think that he holds our conservative life-styles and religious beliefs in contempt. Any question that attempts to clarify the man's beliefs and opinions are RELEVANT to me.
When his wife states that this is the first time she's ever been proud of her country....I want a little clarification about that statement.
Taken individually, those might seem like small matters to you, but collectively, they raise some serious doubts about his fitness to be our president. They raise the possibility, and it's only a possibility at this point, that the man may be a closet racist.
Those things, coupled with his extreme leftist views, voting record, and relative inexperience, cast a shadow over his candidacy. He'd better develop a thicker skin, because he's not playing a game of tiddley-winks, and what he faced in that forum is MILD compared to what he will face in the future.

yeah mt.. the "more efficient way to communicate to the voters" that the half negro guy refers to is.. to simply make canned speeches in front of the camera with no one asking him "what the hell does that mean?"
That is what I am really sick of.. the not answering any questions. the canned speeches. They say "he goes to a racist church" what does he do? he gives a canned speech on racism in America.. he goes to a frigging racist church with a racist pastor who he calls a "mentor" why not just answer why?
He has a friend who was a terrorist bomber who's only regret is that his organization couldn't kill more Americans..
