There are only a few subjects I enjoy reading books about. I'm a lazy %*&# and would rather watch a movie, but when I get a good WWII aviation book, I can't put it down. I'm always looking for more.
I have wiped out the local Barnes & Noble and Books a Million of all WWII aviation books and am now going to start ordering. I want to make sure it's worth it first though. So here is why this thread.........

Not WWII, but I read "the right stuff" long before the movie, great read.

Again, not necessarily WWII fight pilot book, but of the same time frame and a must read is
"Fate Is the Hunter" by Ernest K. Gann. Any of his books for that matter...Enjoy!
