The 339th FS is recruiting P-38 pilots.
Whether you're good in a 38 or not, we can use you. We'll show you how to fly what others call the "P dash crash", and bring home kills.
Our squad is new, but is based on a more historical kind of flying than you'll find zooming around in the MA. We like to keep it as real as possible.
This means flying in the AVA (Axis vs Allies) and attending squad based events as much as possible. This is not for the pilot who likes to fly in an arcade manner.
We enjoy formation flying, team fighting, and returning with kills.
Squad night entails flying in the Training Arena then switching to another arena to get kills and bring them home.
If you like twin engined fast fighters and blowing up Zekes, N1K's, Ki's, and the occasional LW bird, this squad is for you.
We also do alot of air-to-mud missions for those of you so inclined.
Check out our website at http://www.jungleairforce.org (http://www.jungleairforce.org) and get on board.

Best of luck. Always good to see squadrons inclined towards historically based flying.

PTO based 38 squad?
Gotta be a bunch of dweebs :)
Of course the 80th specializes in the P dash crash part of 38 flying so you have fun with the kills part :aok

Good luck with this Patrick. Great to see you involved in a Historical based squadron. Hey, the gang is taking on the SAPP guys next monday evening in a private closed event in the SEA. Give Guppy there a PM. I think they may need a few more 38 drivers.
All the best.

Thanks for the kind words Stampf.
Guppy, we only have 3 pilots but we'd love to help.
PM sent.

We could use a few good P-51 pilots as well. The 339th is equally at home in the Stang.
Fighter sweeps, long range bomber escort, and hangar busting are the norm.
