Kermit, you did a remarkable job, it was a great production effort, surely. Much kudos to you and the people who helped you for that. I liked it, you were very creative with the tools you have available, nice shots, nice camera movement, for the most part. But...

But, from a purely cinematographic point of view, I think it's too long. There are whole sequences, especially in the first part, the taking off, that adds nothing to the narration and can be simply cut. The accumulation of "dead times" (don't know how to correctly translate it) makes the whole film a little boring, in the end.
And, in some case, the camera movement weren't as smooth as I'd have liked to see... but I know this is a limitation of the film viewer, I just thought the new shot system could make up for that.

Btw, there's a typo near the end of the movie, when you show Doolittle receiving his fourth star, you typed "histoy" instead of "history".

Don't get me wrong, I think you did a fine job, just wanted to point out a few things, hoping you would pay attention to them in next movie (if you agree with me, of course!) ;)

Sorry, my server is down.  I had gigs of bandwidth this month and they all went away in hours.

May have to wait until next month to see the film, which sucks.  Hundreds of downloads at a nearly 300mb file size = byebye server bandwidth.
There's something I didn't think about. Doh!

Kermit, you can make an account at FileFront and upload the movie there. IIRC, there's no bandwidth limit.

Hey gianlupo, thanks for your honest opinion.  <S>

The Aces High Film Viewer was not used at all.
I'm working on the "dead spots" you speak of.  Mostly, they were there to give you time to reflect on what you just read or watched happen.
The typos have all been fixed as well.
The project was supposed to be 5 minutes, but well, it turned into what it is.
Next month will be the "final" version.  I'll have time to play around with it some more to see if I can make it more interesting for more people.  I'm glad I ran out of bandwidth, as it's giving me time to review it.

There will not be a youtube version, sorry croduh.  I'll continue to host it on my webspace, but if someone else with a non profit website has room/bandwidth, I would like to talk with them.
