Me, Played from 1997/98.... Until the bastards killed it ...
CPID was Chkrs ..... mostly CZ ....
-
I was on AW, played as DooL, CO of =Black Widows=
-
Played from 1994 - 1997. Then off and on from 1997 onward. "Raid." or "Raid9" originally. I forget my old #s before cpids.
-
MDJOE, flew AW on AOL right up till EA killed it, and have been here ever since.
-
Got my first computer in 94 I think. AW costed me big at first then a couple months down the road it was free on AOL.
I played till the end and tried both AH and WB... AH won my vote and a few others from the MAW (Marine Air Wing). Helped get the squad back up to #'s here and left in 2002. Back again in 2007 and probably will play this type of sim off and on for many years to come.
I've always been a base taker and team player. Lately the DA seems to be a lot of fun for quick action and wingman tactics when you can find somebody to work with.

Yea but with the DA, no1 wants to wing with ya. :(
But you can usually find a wingmate after flying with a bit. :aok

AW 1996-till Death
Fighter Ace for a few months while the majority of the original C-Hawks went to wwiionline. Tried AH and found a few C-Hawks here and reformed. Played wwii from time to time but never had enough machine to enjoy it for long.
-
I played AW on the radio starting in 1938 but had to stop when Uncle Sam drafted me into the 101st Airborne in '41

So you played WWII offline then?

WW2OL is fun on the ground.
In the air on the other hand, yuck.
It has a certain feel about it that I enjoy but not enough to keep me flying. 111 and 87 raids can be fun though.
-
Actually, I made all that stuff up :D
-
Started with AHII for over a year swithed 2 ww2ol then got tired of havin 2 type to 95% of the players who thought team speak was killin there frames. The coms killed ww2 online for me but they have the right idea as a cool game in general..Flight model isnt nearly as good as aceshigh by no means imo..So I switched back..LOL they dropped the ball some were early on in ww2 online a hole that is rumored they cant get out of unless they redone the whole game..Stay with ah folks :salute

The terrain in ww2ol is real pretty. The GVs look great...but thats about it.
-
I played AW1 on AOL , it was free at first , then it was 'by the hour fee".
Then I played on AW on GameStorm, monthly fee.
I played AW 1,2,and 3 from beginning to end.

Played on gamestorm too until EA bought it, then i left cause i knew what would eventually happen. I was also an orginal CHAWK not long after jhffo founded it, CPID was <26>. Ahhh.....the good old days :)
-
Started AW when it was free on AOL, '96 I think, RR Pac2.
Stayed with AW until the bitter end. Followed my squad here in 2001.
