Ok, you mega-system builders!  Here's what you need:

That's nice. OTOH I just built a raid 10 for half the price of one velociraptor. High speed and redundancy.

Well I certainly don't need it right away. I can wait on that sort of drive to get below $150 before I need one.

I just (today) purchased the Raptor X  (same as velociraptor, but 150GB)  and to my suprise there is a VERY noticeable improvement in speed, when loading windows itself, programs.. etc etc

I was using a 250GB 7200rpm 16mb cache WD drive before (which is now to be used as storage) and I was curious if I would notice any difference between the 7200 rpm 16mb cache drive and a 10,000rpm 32mb cache drive, or if it woould even be noticable.

IT IS

I guess you installed windows fresh while swapping the drive?  ;)

Actually, the Raptor X is not the same as the Velociraptor.  The Raptor X is SATA 1.5 where the Velociraptor is SATA 3.0.  Also, the actual physical disc size is smaller in the Velociraptor.  There are other differences as well.
