Many more Yakovlevs  :aok Consider that this was the most prolific fighter series, ever. 35,000+ built during the war, plus about 2000 after IIRC.

Really? Never heard that before. I thought that the Il2 was the most produced aircraft ever at 38,000 or something?

Well, thats even more reason to have the I-16  :aok And, with a 109C or D and He111, 1 step closer to the Spanish Civil War  :rock

The Russian planeset is pathetic.  There's really no excuse for it except cultural bias because we already have the American airplanes and late-war airplanes that are supposed to make HTC's $.

At least we got the P-39.

more than 50,000 I-16's were built.
The only numbers I have been able to find are 8,000 I16s and 3000 I15s. A bit short of 50000.

when I get home I have a book that lists the numbers for all Aircraft made.

Edit: wait I lied I have the book here. I was wrong it was 20,000 I-16's.

The only planes that matched/out produced it were:
Po-2 20,000
FW 190 20,001
Spitfire 20,351
Yak-1 30,000
Bf. 109 35,000
IL-2 35,000

with planes like these, it would open up more options for scenarios, FSOs, snapshots, AvA, etc....

They didn't 'forget'. This company is run by 6-7 people, who cant do things at the speed of light. The game is a work in progress, some aircraft have a higher priority than others. These haven't, so far.

They needed them. I think that the weight of all the russian scalps bogged down the germans and cost them the war. :rock
