What do people think of Sandboxie?? Looks quite interesting.

The OS already does write-back asynchronous caching, so I do not see any benefit from this, other than adding another layer of write-back caching, which seems risky to me.

Sandboxie isolates the processes being run, from the operating system. You can even install programs to a fully running state and they leave no trace after the sandbox is killed. I figure this gives some level of protection against malware/viruses.

I suppose.  I never have had an issue with malware/spyware programs.  I would be concerned with double write back caching.  Seems to be a recipe for disaster.

You never had an issue because you've limited your internet use to only safe applications. Most people want to do something nasty once in a while.  ;)

If you kill the delivery mechanisms for spyware/malware, then they are no longer a threat.  I prefer that approach rather than the alternative.
