Geeze, they're making limos out of ANYTHING these days. And I thought the Hummers were bad. :O
-
Pimp my ride for dr7????

Psh..russians. :rofl
"Lets make a tank, like a ship..wee!"
Would be hell to take down tho.
nice picture :)

LOL, That is a target!
-
LOL, That is a target!
:lol Exactly! I think even I could dive bomb that monstrosity!
-
I want to see it doing a U turn
-
can you imagine that thing spawning in a hanger stuck out both doors? :lol
-
Can you imagine some dolt spawn camping with that?
-
I'd pay money to see the looks on the guys faces at a spawn camp when that thing popped up! :cry
But then again, the guy inside it would probably be on channel sayin " how do ya make it go?"
-
looks like a battle ship on wheels....couldnt imagine it in game, enough camper dweebs as is :cry
-
Might be material for the Evil Con mission :lol
-
If it was Russian, they would be trying to attach wings to it.
-

I want to see somebody parallel park it

Thats not a photoshopped image, either. The Soviets experimented with T34-gliders during the war- the tank would eject the wings after landing and go off into combat. The idea was tested successfully (thus the photo) but I don't think it was ever used in combat.

Flying tanks, who would've thought!? :rofl

Yup. Germany went for the extravigant, expensive "Gigant" glider... Russia just stuck wings on tanks!

I think the photo is a T-60, which was a light tank, not a medium like the T-34.

I heard it was T-34
-
I heard it was T-34
Instead of "hearing", why don't you look at the photo? ;) Clearly not a T-34.
-
Really? Dang, Im not good at identifying russian tanks :lol
-
A T34 would have been far to heavy for such an experiment.
In fact, it's an T-60. The whole installation/"plane" is called Antonov A-40.
-
Reminds me of a Russian T-35 tank. It has a short barrelled 76mm with two 45mm in turrets fore and aft. Also had 5-6 MGs
I tried to post a photo but do not seem smart enough to figure out how to do that.

Someone got my reference, right on. WTG Motherland :aok

IIRC, the monstrosity in the first pic was also built, Uncle Joe himself was enthused.
I believe the prototype tipped over, there to be scrapped.
Didn't Uncle Adolf also have a "Land Monitor" planned, with Scharnhorst-sized guns?

Eh, I dont know Russian tanks. Im a plane guy :)
-
Well, the Grant had 2 guns, one in the turret and one on the chassis, - that was the bigger one.
And the French B1 was similar as well, or?
-
This is a T34. According to the plaque it fought in Austria in 1945.

It did indeed AFAIK. Vienna BTW surrendered to the Russians some days after the official end of WW2 in Europe....

In Soviet Russia, tank flys you!

And we read Russian?
And didnt the earlier T-34s look VERY different from this version? After all, look at what we have ingame...

Can't speak to that...I saw four ot five T34s, and they all looked the same to me. All I know is the La-7 was a mockup and not a real aircraft, and the Il-2 was a real aircraft and not a mockup. The rest of the ground equipment could have been German for all I know. Here's a different T-34, but it looks just like the one above to me.

yep, they did look different, try www.wwiivehicles.com (http://www.wwiivehicles.com)
in specifics, here is the T-34/76 http://www.wwiivehicles.com/ussr/tanks-medium/t-34.asp (http://www.wwiivehicles.com/ussr/tanks-medium/t-34.asp)
and T-34/85

That was Joe Stalins limo. No doubt a hot top in it somewhere in it.

I've seen that picture before, it looks to me like a modeler had a couple KV-1s and a
KV-2 that he decided to play with.

The T-34/76s didn't have that huge shell trap along the bottom of the turret. I do have to admit
that the only T-34/85 I have seen in person had that lovely "Saving Private Ryan" Tiger makeover :D
-
looks like a bunch of m5 stuart tank guns and turrets on a ship withe shermans traks
-
our T34's look like T-34/76F
