On March 6th, 1942, Lt. Heinz Knoke was flying to his new station in Germany, when his Emil suffered a fuel leak and he was forced to ditch in a Norwegian mountain range. He spent two nights in his Messerschmitt before he was finally rescued. I would like to do this 109. However, there are no profiles of the aircraft I know of, BUT I do have a photograph of it. I would like some help with color identification, as the photograph is, of course, in black and white.

Seems nearly the same as the default skin, in design. 'Course I think the default is WAY too dark, so go for it.
I'd say look for similar profiles, if you can't find the exact. Most BOB era are similar. Looks like almost no mottling on the sides (it would be mottling of the RLM 70 or 71 colors, and you can see those, but not on the lower half) I've got a profile of a 109e (e7?) with a similar low-spine but no mottling, from Holland. It's not unheard of.

Ermm... I see plenty of mottling... :noid
Anyhoo, heres a quick preview. Never done a 109E before, so I had to start from scratch... and Im SLOW. So, just panels and rivets and paint so far, no detailing or weathering yet.

Mottling needs to be tighter... it's still very much a work in progress :aok.
