Government departments and their daft ideas......for those of you that don’t already know, the UK Office of Government Commerce is responsible for improving value for money by driving up standards and capability in procurement & to prove it, they have a new logo:

Now this is all well and good, nice simple logo that probably only cost a quarter of a million of tax payers money......the trouble starts when you turn it on it's side.

And it probably did cost a quarter of a million pounds for some graphic designer to pick a typeface, type 3 letter and adjust the kearning.
In fact, there's one of those MasterCard "Priceless" spoofs in that.
Cost of developing a new logo to show that your bureaucracy is on the ball: quarter of a million pounds.
Developing a logo that actually suggests the average bureaucrat spends your tax dollars wanking off -- priceless.
