Title: Shreaking buzz in audio when firing guns
Post by: Wingnutt on April 26, 2008, 06:49:19 PM
whenever I fire the guns in the game, or anyone near my does, insted of the correct sound, I get a shrill buzz that increases in pitch, and sometimes sticks and does not go away..

tried updating drivers, turning down acceleration..

problem is exclusive to AH, all other apps/games etc work without issue.

Sys Info

Amd 64 X2 6400+
4GB OCZ DDR2 800
Gigabyte GA-MA69G-S3H motherboard
WD Raptor X 10,000rpm SATA

Audio is

Realtek ALC889A Codec, HD audio.

have downloaded the Dual core optimizer and AMD processor drivers...

This must have started recently. Honestly I don't know Wingnutt. However try turning down your mic or maybe it's something to do with the Midi or the playback function.

Double check to make sure it's not the cry of the squeakers when your MG's tear them to bits. That could possibly be your problem.

Best of luck to you and your shreaking problem,
EJ  :salute

Goto your application, right click on it and pick compatibility - then put it in win98 mode.  Then try.
Amd = crap. :) (I know, I have one - bit flaws)

it was a driver issue, apparently the ones that windows installed contained high levels of suck.  downloaded new drivers, no more problems.
