Yes. Most of the changes center around new cockpit designs, a few new GV's, and new P-39. Be warned that the population has increased and demographics seem to point to an under 18 age group. Point and shoot La7's are the rage.

Actually the La-7 usage has dropped significantly. It's usage (kills+deaths) is currently almost 30% lower than last year's average.

with the decline in the La7 use, makes me wonder which plane had the biggest increase in use. Any one that knows how willing to check for us that don't?

After a long time Spit XVI has regained #1 spot, but P51 has also gotten some more usage. I will post an evaluation next week (new tour), including assement of P39 and Wirbelwind/Ostwind numbers.

Every Squeaker within Range is flying that POS

Aces High seems to be better than ever.
FSO continues to give us players experiences that closely resemble what those WWII pilots had.
The arena splits really do help the community be more enjoyable.
The AvA is fun to stop by in once and awhile.

Just ignore the bipolars of the game and associate yourself with more positive people and you'll have yourself a good time in here.

Why don't you just download it and try it yourself.

yes all the cool squeakers fly Nikis and Spit 8's these days and Ho everything in site. Since they updated the LA's it takes a little more skill to fly so most of the noobs stopped flying it. It's still a uber ride of course but not as "easy" as it used to be.

I took up an La5FN in the DA today- its still a heatseaking missile. I think the main decline is from when the instruments were messed up and nobody flew them.

I still read "they porked the LA's" occasionally. "They are much slower right now and don't accelerate that good any more!"  :rofl

Hear this a lot.

But it also occurs to me that those who have been playing a looong time are also a little more...ummm....not so much...umm...old? experienced? as they were "back in the day." Even young(er) pups like me, who've been playing for a few years, can get trapped in the nostalgia mindset where things were so much better back before (X).

Personally, I don't see a whole lot of difference between now and the last year of AH1, when I first joined.

10 years ago, I would hear warbirds pilots wish for the old Confirmed Kill and say those were the days. :noid
