I figured someone would've asked for the hellkitty with the radar already lol. I am not asking for it. Just figured I would see if someone did.

I wish I could think of something to wish for

Would see very limited use in the MA with current radar settings.
No SEA events are a different story....

SEA also features events designed for balance. Although the Japanese resorted to more night fighting strategy due to daytime air superiority after 1943 they didn't particularly see the need for their own radar equipped aircraft until much later than the introduction of the radar-equipped F6Fs and even then in numbers too low to rate more than a novelty, modeling-wise. How would it be effectively modeled in the game? And what balance does that provide in special events? Those two reasons seem cause for such a request to have a rather low priority.

only time I would use a radar-equipped plane in MA would be on Christmas Eve
-
I was joking in my request simply making a comical response, I was not even aware until this thread that a radar kitty existed. I'd like to read more about it if anyone have a good link? or any good info on it? What plane had the first radar? Sorry if that question seems ignorant I was not really a history buff, I am only now becoming one. I enjoy the game and am slowly learning all the cool toys of WWII, but my knowledge of WWII hardware is pretty limited.

They put it in a few planes because INJ planes where attacking the fleets at night.

You guys do realize that the radar on the night fighters of the period was extremely short-ranged don't you? Hell, the Black Widow's radar (which was a pretty big airborne radar for the time) only had a range of 5 miles. :( That's less than the visual range we have now. Like uberslet said, it would only be useful on Christmas Eve, and then only with ground-based radar or a controller to get you in the ball park.
I guess we could microwave squeekers with it. :D
