When i examined the long list of possible damage on planes (Cntrl-D), i was a bit surprised to see the radio equipment was overlooked. That's strange because in this era, there was no redundancy in radio equipment on airplanes. The antennae were also extremely vunerable to damage. I can hardly imagine anything MORE disturbing to a combat pilot than having his radio shot out. Especially if he had vital information (like an enemy CV sighting) to pass on to his country, or, God forbid he's in a dogfight when it happens. Without a radio he'd have to fly all the way back to a base to make a report, or disengage from a dogfight. Yet this reality is not reflected in the game.

That's actually not a bad idea... :aok
However, I doubt it's gonna fly. Imagine the uproar when squeakers find they can no longer squeak! :uhoh

Easy to get around... I use Teamspeak and Ventrillo half the time anyway.
Plus, people would just think your being an arse. :lol

Cuss in the chat channels if you want to model "radio damage".

Why should I have simulated radio damage when my dumb--- POS eastern Oregon phone company does that to me in real life, as in lost vox, TCP switches, and outright hang ups? We might actually graduate to styrofoam cups and string this year. Yaaaay, Malheur Bell.
