'They're standing on the corner and they can't speak English. I can't even talk the way these people talk:
Why you ain't,
Where you is,
What he drive,
Where he stay,
Where he work,
Who you be...
And I blamed the kid until I heard the mother talk.
And then I heard the father talk.
Everybody knows it's important to speak English
except these knuckleheads. You can't be a doctor with that kind of crap coming out of your mouth.
In fact you will never get any kind of job making a decent living. People marched and were hit in the face with rocks to get an education, and now we've got these knuckleheads walking around.
The lower economic people are not holding up their end in this deal.
These people are not parenting. They are buying things for kids. $500 sneakers for what??
And they won't spend $200 for Hooked on Phonics.
I am talking about these people who cry when their son is standing there in an orange suit.
Where were you when he was 2??
Where were you when he was 12??
Where were you when he was 18 and how come you didn't know that he had a pistol??
And where is the father?? Or who is his father?
People putting their clothes on backward:
Isn't that a sign of something gone wrong?
People with their hats on backward, pants down around the crack, isn't that a sign of something?
Or are you waiting for Jesus to pull his pants up?
Isn't it a sign of something when she has her dress all the way up and got all type of needles [piercing] going through her body? What part of Africa did this come from??
We are not Africans. Those people are not Africans; they don't know a thing about Africa .
With names like Shaniqua, Taliqua and Mohammed and all of that crap, and all of them are in jail.
Brown or black versus the Board of Education is no longer the white person's problem. We have got to take the neighborhood back.
People used to be ashamed. Today a woman has eight children with eight different 'husbands' -- or men or whatever you call them now.
We have millionaire football players who cannot read.
We have million-dollar basketball players who can't write two paragraphs. We, as black folks have to do a better job. Someone working at Wal-Mart with seven kids, you are hurting us.
We have to start holding each other to a higher standard.
We cannot blame the white people any longer.'

So Louis Farrakan is OK with you?
Perhaps you should be a little more choosy.

At least you know exactly where he is coming from .. so he'd never get elected if they were stupid enough to give him the nomination ...
can't say that about "change" man .. he is so vague, all the kool aid heads are behind him and will get the nom and then lose in Nov :)
-
There will be no change regardless of the next president, as 98% of congress will be re-elected

I'm sure you know "most blacks" to make this statement. :aok

Cosby wouldn't run and he would only be further ostracised by attempting to do so. It's a pity as the best and brightest are also not willing to run.

General Colin Powell
"Our struggle will not be over until every American is able to find his or her own place in our society, limited only by his or her own ability and his or her own dream."
In 1995, when retired General Colin Powell took himself out of the running for President of the United States, he was leading every candidate in every poll. At the time, his autobiography My American Journey was a national best-seller. Millions of Americans have been inspired by his life story, from his boyhood in the South Bronx, through service in Vietnam, to his term as Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs.
General Powell would have made a great President in 1995 and would make the very best person to be elected President in the 2008 elections, He remains one of the most admired Americans, a leader whose prestige transcends party and ideolog .
If ....
'
If General Powell was a candidate in this up coming election,
none of theses sorry-azzed jerks, the likes of McCain, Obama, or Clinton wouldn't stand a snow balls chance in hell ! .
It is truly sad , that America can not produce anyone from either Party, to offer the American People a creditable candidate running for President of The United States

How many of you feel, that if Martin Luther King had been alive today, he would have shared the same sentiment?

apparently, so dispell my ignorance. right now, the only rational explanation is your trollling.
you want to go through that and give any real example of how he is wrong? or at least try explain why you think self pitying garbage from anyone is acceptable?

The original post was pretty self-explanatory, Lyric. Re-read the original post; Bill Cosby IS a black man, btw.
What he sees' is the self-destruction of African-American culture in the United States today. And judging by what he wrote, it really disturbs' him. I was confused when you wrote 'Sad little man' in reference to him, as well...
I don't know if this was prompted by his son getting killed in a shooting on an L.A. Freeway, or his efforts' to promote education of children, but he very well described a growing problem in Afro-american society today.

Ok fair enough this guy has issues that are racist look at his postings in this & other threads that have been locked now. The forum is not for posting racist point's of view. I lumped you into that group & I should not have done so as I don't know you. So for that I am sorry.

right, you were talking about the poster, and not what he qouted in his post.
my mistake.

My point was not made clear on my part I understand who & what Mr Cosby said my remark was not toward him it was to Kaw1000 & his posts of late in this thread & others in this forum sorry for the confusion. I edited my first post again sorry for the confusion.

It is a touchy topic of conversation, but not necessarily racist. It takes a hell of a lot of self discipline to understand that life isn't fair and that nothing is guaranteed. It is not easy to understand this and takes many years. Basically it is an individual matter and cannot be applied to a race. Any individual, no matter their race, who does not come to this realization through time, does so at their own risk. Reality of life.
Thinking people grow weary of complainers, and with good reason. Everyone has problems. Everyone complains and it might be good to vent, but if it becomes too much, do not expect an eager audience. Most people on these forums are honest. If anything, it could open honest discussion about how to improve race relations, or relations with anyone, and I believe the most important of these is the respect from earning one's own way. This invariably involves struggle and hardship.

Good post I hope KAW1000 takes your words to heart.

Thank you Lyric1. It wasn't meant for anyone in particular. I don't abide by things being called what they are not. I do not think Kaw's post was racist. Touchy subject yes. Racist no.

Well my comment was also based off other posts he has made in other threads if you were to read them I think you would see where I was getting that comment from.

Well, I've gotta say. I'm somewhat authoritarian by nature. I do not believe in badmouthing my country or throwing up the past in its face. I am guilty of this on personal levels because I'm irrational at times, but I realize it's not the way to get ahead. As I said this is not easy to do all the time, and we all make mistakes. I stand by my first post and certainly do not fault Kaw for anything I have read in the locked posts. You are not squeeky clean Lyric either by your responses, especially the one to Lazs. This is my last response to you.

Yup life is not fair. However you worsen it by handicapping yourself. Kaw1000 post just happens to point that out.
-
I'm not worsening anything. That's in your mind. Take that as you see fit.

I see your corrections; I understand this now. However...in this case, Kaw has put up what is simply a quote, by a learned man, no less. Because of it's nature, for this peice to see enough circulation to get around, Kaw has at least done the right thing, this time-It has made it to a public forum, wherein it can be discussed. Political correctness is the enemy of all true free-thinkers. To suppress this by simply calling Kaw 'racist' based on his previous posts' is, well, trying to be some sort of PC-police. Which is the last thing the world needs. To engage him in debate would have been best; to come right out and start off with something like 'sad little man' is, well...lame.

Why are you in shade bongaroo? Too ashamed of the drivel you post or unable to remain civil enough to stay?

Actually, it had been locked, but with the post recovery from the crash, anything recovered was left unlocked as there was not way to tell if it was or was not locked.
