I was sitting in my home office today thinking how the little things in life are the most rewarding....there was a bald eagle who was gliding in place into the wind coming up the valley over the bluff directly over my house, visible from the office not even 100 feet up...this eagle would ride the wind current and flip over on his back to show his talons to a pesky crow that wouldn't leave him to ride the wind in peace. It went on for 10 minutes. The crow, who was relentless in its fake attacks, and the eagle, who wouldn't let the crow ruin his ride of the wind.
Sometimes, its the little things in life you appreciate the most.
Hindsite, I should have had my camera out, but while in a teleconference it just seemed unethical.
(I would have done it if I wasn't reporting status on my project. :devil )

Man I wish I could work at home for my job.
I do love the small things in life the most. Hearing my son say Da-Da on the baby monitor when he wakes up first thing in the morning. Watching my daughter run around the yard with the big yellow lab chasing her. My wife sitting at her computer working on her website. To many of those little things to write it all down here.

That would have made a Great pic Rip.

Lately I have been feeling quite fortunate to live in an area where the Bald Eagle seems to be thriving. We have always had them, but I don't remember them being in the numbers they have been the last couple years. I really never took the time to appreciate them until last summer when I was at my buddys cabin. I stumbled outside at the asscrack of dawn to take some pics. I was smoking a cig and stoking what was left of the campfire, when I looked over and had one serenely gliding down the path of the river at eye level with me maybe 20 yards away. Quite a majestic creature indeed.

I don't think so. Ripsnort has a special affinity for bald eagles...

I hate bald eagles. one of them pooped half a fish onto my truck about 2 hours after I had just washed the darn thing.

You should try living close to pelicans.
They eat some of the strangest things. Try coming out to your car after a hard days work to see a massive piece of pelican precipitation with (of all things) handbag dog remains, complete with collar in it!
Fortunately it wasn't my car but the service ute, it was a nasty find nonetheless!

Are you trying to insinuate (http://pic4.picturetrail.com/VOL767/2726312/8668097/315406132.jpg) something, Mister!?
