Title: I want better T-34
Post by: JoppeX on June 01, 2008, 02:28:42 PM: I want T-34 with 85 mm turrett and 5 men fast action crew and less Vodka to them. Tank commander should have got "Proletarian Hero" red star at least twice :salute and crew should be nkvd soldiers with uber sovjet attitude :devil

It is ridiculous that I must shoot about 8 times with my T-34 hvap under 4 to 800 yds. to firefly to get it down.

I hit one 3 times and It didnt die from 200 yds. The fourth took it out though :)

Post by: Spikes on June 01, 2008, 05:17:40 PM: Just remember...the HVAP's are lighter, they will not cause as much damage to a heavy tank as regular AP's will.

It was designed for extra armor penetration, not extra range. The allies did not need range, they needed better armor penetration vs German armor.

Ya got that backwards chief. HVAP slows down quicker because it is lighter.

HVAP is only good for about 1200yards.

Post by: valdals on June 03, 2008, 05:55:51 AM: yesterday i hit a panzer 19 times before killing him in a t-34. he was at a range of 24 on my range finder. 18 hits bounced off. the 19th hit killed him. :furious i was lucky he never saw me. :D

Thats one horrible panzer driver
