Title: Re: Spitfire FR.XIV
Post by: Kev367th on May 21, 2008, 05:32:15 AM
Add the FR.XIV and unperk the 14 we have now. :aok

Bubble canopy made no difference to overall performance.

Should have been remodelled as a low-back XIV just to make it look different from the other Spits.

All we need for a complete (barring rarities) Spit line-up now -

Vc - Clipped, Cropped, Clapped.
XII - First production Griffon Spit
XIV - Changed to a low back.
F.21 - Ultimate wartime Spit (perk F.21 and unperk XIV)
Seafire LIII or LIIc

If they start adding 'ultimate wartime' models, I hope they give some margin to axis rides, to account for late war attrition.  Otherwise there won't be any axis opposition to pit against models like the F.21.  E.G the 152 before the 47N showed up.

Margin?

You already have -
190D9 at the highest boost it used.
262
K4 at highest boost it can be proved was used.

All very high performing machines.
What margin do you mean?

Margin for attrition in production.  e.g. 190D11 or D13, high octane fuel, etc.  I haven't followed the 109 ata rating saga, but IIRC on of them's .11 ata under what it could be at.
