Title: This must be bad luck?
Post by: zoozoo on May 20, 2008, 07:38:08 AM
So three days ago i am in a 262 RTB with 7 kills. I go across 3 sectors to land at a save base. I just hit the dar ring and my engine goes out, then the base starts flashing but no dot. So i touch down my 262 and out of nowhere i hear ack going off but im still going 50 mph. So here comes an NOE la7 and he vulches me. There goes 213 perks down the drain. So last night I take a 262 again. I get 4 kills then RTB with an engine oil leak. I fly 2 sectors to a base that has been quiet for hours. So guess what happens..... Dar starts flashing, nothing on dot dar so i go to touch down. Here it goes again ack is going off. An NOE p51D comes  roaring in from  north of the base where there are no enmy bases. He starts firing at me, knocks off my tail as i stop short on the runway and he collides with me to get the kill and he flies away clean. This really must be bad luck. Back to perk farmin later.  :salute

An idiot with three kills, vs the "smart" guy with 3 deaths?  :huh

No an idiot who followed Buffs across 10 sectors afraid to fight vs the smart guy who just got bored with the computer game idiot.

Now you get it hotshot?

WELL, if ya wanna talk rammers, waaay back when i was flying EW, i had the same guy up and ram me 3 times in the same flight. i was in JU88's, and although i can't remember who it was, he did apologze every time. it didn't matter though, as all he did was kill himself and give me 3 free kills......but it was funny :rofl

Last time we did an HQ run, a few days ago, I really didn't want to go but I hadn't flown with the Dredger crowd in a long time, and they are a lot of fun, so I went. I knew what was going to happen but I went anyways.

Bish eny was way down and I just knew what was going to happen. Suddenly the sky was full of every squeeker with enough perks to up a 163, a plane that had zero impact in WW-ll, and each one of my 17s got rammed by someone different. Finally I was down to one crippled 17 when I told the flight, "Ive had enough", and just bailed. I mean why not? The game gives the 163 the kill even if he flys into you rear end at 550 mph anyways. This time I really mean it when I say I'll never go on an HQ run again.

I think about two bish, out of all those who upped, actually landed kills in their comets. Now if the eny on them was 150 instead of 30 or 40 you think that would have happened?

At least the 262 had far more impact in the war then this wretched little squeeker rocket plane had. Its just a shame it isnt controlled more.

Was a lot of fun though Rich. Any time you want to wing up with us Blind Bats, your always welcome to come along. We never really do HQ missions but were looking for something different to do, break up the monotany i guess. Was nice to see 33 buffs in formation surrounded by P51s, when the 163s showed up it added a bit of realism ( albeit gaming realism )to the raid, watching them slashing there way thru the formation. So yes it was an utter failure, but man was it fun.
<S> to Jokers Jokers and the Muppets (Freez) for the good fight
