"Dresden, 1945"
The worst single event massacre of all time ... now with kittens.
Distasteful.

Well things like that happen in total war. Was a very different time. People back then understood that in war people die, and die horribly. Today people want everything to be peaches and cream, group hugs, and we should all hold hands and get along with one anouther.
Screw that, I know plenty of people that need killing. It's time we cull this herd of people on this rock, but that's just me.

:rofl I find it FUNNY!
I like the music too! :aok

it's kinda funny, but they're not in the proper box formations. :rofl :rofl

BTW some of you look at lumpy's signature. I'd think with a signature like that he's probably a non playing agitator. I'm actually more offended by his signature than anything i've seen posted on this forum. :( How do you have a statement like that in your signature file and be offended by a picture that was supposed to be meant in humor? :frown:
As i said before i couldn't change the caption so if your offended i apologize, but then again someone with a signature that states what your's does really has no room to complain IMO.

My signature is a movie quote. Your picture is making fun of one of the most horrific and tragic events in all of history. Perhaps if I posted a picture of kittens crashing into the World Trade Center you'd understand. Then again, perhaps not.

Well Mac and Holden ... more people were killed in Dresden than in Hiroshima and Nagasaki combined. More than 260,000 bodies were counted before the Russian advance halted the efforts to identify the dead.

260,000 bodies were counted?
http://www.spartacus.schoolnet.co.uk/2WWdresden.htm (http://www.spartacus.schoolnet.co.uk/2WWdresden.htm)Recent research suggest that 35,000 were killed but some German sources have argued that it was over 100,000.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/onthisday/hi/dates/stories/february/14/newsid_3549000/3549905.stm (http://news.bbc.co.uk/onthisday/hi/dates/stories/february/14/newsid_3549000/3549905.stm)With the city's population swollen from refugees fleeing the Soviet advance from the east, the death toll from fire and suffocation is unknown, but probably lies between 25,000 and 100,000.
http://www.internationalist.org/dresdenmasscre.html (http://www.internationalist.org/dresdenmasscre.html)How many were killed? The figure of 225,000 was widely circulated; Crossman estimates upwards of 150,000.
http://www.germannotes.com/hist_ww2_dresden.shtml (http://www.germannotes.com/hist_ww2_dresden.shtml)The precise number of dead is difficult to ascertain and is not known. Earlier reputable estimates varied from 25,000 to more than 60,000, but historians now view around 25,000-35,000 as the likely range.

http://twf.org/News/Y2004/0901-Buchanan.html (http://twf.org/News/Y2004/0901-Buchanan.html)Estimates of the dead in the Dresden firestorm run from 35,000 to 250,000.
Where do you get your facts?

His donkey?

Skuzzy wouldn't like this to turn into a Dresden Holocaust debate so lets not go there, but suffice it to say that whatever the real body count was I find the picture linked to in the original post of this thread distasteful and leave it at that.
