Looking for opinions on what model of aircraft this might closely resemble. The scrap dealer I bought it from said it reminded him of one of the British bombers, cant rememer the model . my plan is to make it a somewhat sound proof capsule with a some authentic look. it is off an amusement ride called 'salt & pepper'

Looks like something from an old carnival ride to me.

Kind of reminds me of the nose from a Catalina.

I used to ride the salt n pepper shaker! That ride was the best! They would stop you mid air with your legs and balls hanging down, and everything forward of yr eye balls would want to fall towards the ground. I would goto sleep at night still feeling like I was on that ride.

LOOKS LIKE THE SLAT N PEPPER SHAKER RIDE...AT LEAST that's what they called it at clementon lake park. it's definitly some form of park or carnival ride though.

The nose looks like a Grumman Goose. Can't say anything about the rest of it though. Almost looks like something off of Junkyard Wars.

With a bit of work you could probably make it into a mini mosquito nose...

The only british aircraft i can currently think of which looks similar to that is the Airspeed Oxford.

It would probably make a nice sim-pit.

Oh yeah...enclose it, put monitors in appropriate places, rudders, ch MFPs, surround sound. It would make one heck of a sim-pit.

"Old" is right {grin} - The Salt and Pepper shaker was the first "big kid" ride I was ever allowed to go on by my folks. I remember even then pretending I was a pilot!

the salt and pepper shaker they had at clemento lake park, my mom used to ride when she was a kid(she's 68 now), but when my brother and i were kids, she wouldn't let us on it. we had to sneak away to get on it.

Well, just looking at the nose section, Bristol Blenheim comes to mind, but when looking at that thing anything aircraft related is slightly far fetched! :P
