About the undiscovered underwater country.. The dichotomy/comparison with NASA is bunk, but otherwise it's a really good talk.

What he says about making or breaking engineers by 10 years old (or so) is true.. I'd have gone into art if I hadn't been given legos and watched my dad tinker with infinite amounts of electronic and robotic contraptions as far back as I remember. Even as a kid, I knew that we (kids) weren't being pushed to full potential mostly because of lack of thoroughness in education and of inspiring examples.

I loved Lincoln Logs but soon learned I couldn't see the forrest for the trees.
Tinker Toys taught me alot in life, most of you just don't fit in.
I love looking at Mountains and spent times as a kid stompin the Hell outta mole hills.
No River high enough unless you depend on FEMA.
Magnifying glasses either make ants faster or toast.
Common sense rules.... Go figure.
Thanks for the post M00T.

"I would not let an Adult drive my robot, you do not have enough gaming expirience, but I would let a Kid with no license take over a control of my vehicle system."
So true.

When I was in grade school there were special classes for the 'slow' kids, but never any special classes for the really smart

The underwater resources bit is very interesting too.. Maybe someone like Moray's heard of it and can tell us how big the deposits discovered so far really are.
