Title: So What's It Like These Days?
Post by: Hap on May 21, 2008, 07:10:44 AM
Haven't flown for better part of a year.

Took a peek to see the cost of an XP OEM w/SP2.  $90.  Getting the yen to fly again for a bit.  Windows update still requires XP w/SP2 yaddah, yaddah, yaddah?

Much the same.
Some new toys to play with.
If you are lucky enough to catch a squeaker light session (3am U.S. EST on a school night :lol ) it's not half bad.

:lol when you're 40+ years old anyone under 20 is a squeaker :lol

Yeah, 51 here.  It's a bit like that actually.  The voice pitch isn't the same, but they run into that awful "bad manners" thing that can last for a long time.

Consider the XP Pro version instead. Microsoft (according to Skuzzy) is compelled to support the Pro version for a number of years beyond that of Home [version].
