What more needs to be said?

Bf109G14 W.Nr. 166221, August, 1944. This is the 109 Hartmann scored his 300th kill in, among many others.
I'm going to scan my reference photo's up in a bit...
(you may want to type the second two into your browser, the BBS resized them...)
EDIT: For anyone who may have been confused by the title of the thread, when Erich Hartmann adorned the nose of his 109 with the above 'black tulip' pattern, the Russians began calling him 'the Black Devil of the South', for obvious reasons.

Tulip should be longer, from what I remember.
Otherwise it looks good.

Ive got a carbon 'sketch' of Hartmann and this bird up on my wall over my bed. Tulip IS longer.

How long should it be?

How long should it be?
The black should end at the very trailing edge of the third exhaust pipe, and the white should continue just a little past that.

While not a G-14 - this is a pic of a 109G-6 that was flown by Hartmann. Almost all the aircraft he flew had the "Tulip" design on it and were about the same size.
The pic shows the design and length pretty good. Hope this helps you out.

Thanks, Jester. I'll be removing the yellow 'chin' as well, I wasn't sure if it was supposed to be there. The particular G14 I have a picture of doesnt seem to have a tail band.
-
The yellow band and underside of the wingtips was a "Eastern Front" tactical marking - all German aircraft had them to keep their own AA Gunners from shooting at them.
I will dig around in my files and see if I can find some more pics of Hartmanns planes.

I know this isn't garunteed to be the most accurate image, but here is what I have on my wall:

Ultimately, I think that is not the greatest model but the tulip represents what I understand to be correct.

Motherland, I think the aircraft you are working on above in your first post was actually one Hartmann flew that DID NOT have the Black Tulip on the nose. There were a couple.
Sorry for the bad news.

There was some doubt that he actually ever flew a G14 as well in this scheme.

Alright... I haven't worked on this one in a while but it's time to start up again. Here is what I'm working from.

IMHO it needs the tulip.
-
As much as I'd love to have the tulip, I'm not going to put it on if it didn't have it.

Didn't it? I thought it did?

I'm pretty sure that's just the FinRus map. It's not an uncommon map in the AvA.
