Jupiter's recent outbreak of red spots is likely related to large scale climate change as the gas giant planet is getting warmer near the equator.
Not only have the evil oil companies and republicans destroyed the earth, but now they are destroying jupiter! (Somehow..)

Anyone seen any monoliths lately?

Some really smart global warming guy will show up and tell us how it has nothing to do with the sun, and has no relation to us causing warming on this planet.

I was so engrossed in whacking things with this leg bone that I missed it. Thanks for the heads up. :noid

What? It has 4 posts already and no one has blamed bush yet?!?!?! :huh

Man, its common knowledge that as a result of anthropogenic global warming through co2 emmissions, the earth is radiating less infrared energy out into the solar system. More energy is being retained in the atmosphere. "Just ask Al Gore, he'll tell ya." This reduction in earthly infrared radiation causes an infrared imbalance to occur in the solar system As a result, Jupiter's infrared radiation output increases, to make up the difference, and more great red spots develop.
So, yes it is our fault.
-
Man, when that Nasa probe lands Sunday on the Mars Pole, they'll be shocked that all their caps have melted too!
-
Hey, wait just a minute!
Could it be the sun? The largest source of energy in the sky by a factor of a gazillion?
Nah, must be because of some trace gas in the earth's atmosphere. There just has to be a connection.
No wait, its a coincidence that earth mars and jupiter are all warming at the same time, ya that has to be it.
-
I was reading an article the other day about one of the formost global warming scientists reversing his position on warming causing larger and more frequent storms to make landfall.
Now he's saying we will have less storms.
I say.
Make up your mind already! :furious

See now I think that more sun is getting through to the earth and hitting our oceans.
The reflective properties of water is now bouncing all that sunlight at Jupiter like a lazer off a mirror

Amazing that Congress has the head of Exxon in DC questioning him about how much he makes. I think his salary is $22 million and stock options. One commentator pointed out that Rush Limbaugh makes 30 million, Brad Pitt $20 million a film and so on. Stupid Congress. Btw, Exxon controls only 2% of the oil sales and is one of america's largest companies. So they really don't control oil.
-
Its all fluff and performance.
A big show to make it look to us like they are actually trying to do something about it.

ITS THE SUN STUPID.

All this can be cleared up with the help of a few 100,000 ancient Egyptians building waterways and turning every planet into a garden, as Angus suggested much earlier. Get with it folks. :devil

Sen Dick Durbin made a point of asking those ceo's that question--Now had I BEEN one of said ceo's.... "I make 22 million a year, ("Not that it's any of your effing bussiness") part salary, part performance, a wage which was approved by our stockholders---How much do YOU make, Senator Durbin, and who approved YOUR salary? :D Saying what's on your mind is NEVER a good way to get ahead in the business world, I've found

It snowed in Gallup yesterday, and it is in the 60's today, coldest Spring in the last 12 years.....
It is even colder than last year which set snow fall records.
It is beginning to look like another Maunder minimum.

Kevin

I think that these scientists should have their careers tied to the things they say. Everytime they get something right, their salary gets increased by 50%.
The FIRST TIME they get something wrong, they get shuffled into the government's "Manual Labor" pool and make $6.50 an hour.

Also to be known as The Blue Moon clause.
