"My husband (Bill Clinton) did not wrap up the nomination in 1992 until he won the California primary, somewhere in the middle of June, right?" Clinton said in an interview with the Argus Leader newspaper editorial board.
"We all remember, Bobby Kennedy was assassinated in June in California, I don't understand it," Clinton said.
Remember Vince? :noid

I think too much is being inferred. In context, she was just reffering to the fact that races are not always over in may.
-
I have a hard time believing she didn't think about this before saying it. Surely she gave careful thought to her argument for staying in the race? Who wouldn't this offend? Obama offended many with his comments about guns, religion, and xenophobia but he knew that those inclined to be offended weren't likely to vote for him anyhow.

You're probably right, still seems in poor taste to me.
-
Have you noticed that everyone defending her when she screws up are the same folks that want to bash Bush for every little problem in the world?
We've already had 8 years of one babling idiot, do you really want 4 more with her??
-
It doesn't make much sense, but I don't see the big deal.
-

Or perhaps she is predicting he might be assassinated. :noid
Wouldnt surprise me thoughif we were to find out she had a Luca Bratsi or two on the payroll.
During a campaign. Usually not a word is uttered that isnt well planned out to acheive some sort of effect
In this case she probably just blurted out what was going on in the back of her mind.
We usually refer to such thoughts as "wishfull thinking"
-
Well there is a line of bodies behind hillary. What's one more on the way to her ultimate goal?
:noid :noid :noid :noid :devil
-
Whatever she meant, it certainly was a dumb thing to say. My president should be able to think things like this through.
-
Got a million dollars to conmtribute and she will be yours. Enjoy.
EEEEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWEEEEEE EEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's right Honey!
Oh, sorry, that's a bad habit of mine.

obama can say anything he wants because he is the chosen one.
-
anyone watch Keith Olbermann's tirade on this issue yesterday?
Olbermann has his nose so far up Obamas' anal tract that their nose hairs are braided together :uhoh
It would be pathetic if it wasn't so damned hilarious :t

I agree with AKiron, wow! It was in poor taste, shouldn't have been referenced at all, and she will pay for it.
-

Ditto, and I'm not a Hilliary supporter.
-
I don't get it other than the fact that she tipped her hand on the bobby kennedy thing... osamabamas cancer or suicide is gonna look even worse now.

This is typical of clinton politics in regards to theme: Pick something that's in the news and bring up something related to it. Kennedy is in the news, that segueded into a Kennedy running in June. She really is as shallow as that. It seems fair to pick on her shallowness, but inferring anything deep into anything she says is a waste of time.
What do you do on Veteran's day? Announce you're going to fight to keep a veteran's hospital open. Don't research into the reasons why, just realize it seems the thing to do on veteran's day.
-
Why anyone would want another Clinton in the White House is beyond me.
-
No, she probably didn't intend for it to mean what it seemed....BUT....her comment was in incredible bad taste, and was completely thoughtless. Even mentioning the spectre of assassination in this country is a blight, and she's done it 4 times in the past 6 months, with this one being the single most blatant. She just gave herself an "exit strategy"......humiliating walk of shame. I would expect a president to be able to see, that in any context, referring to that event is extremely poor judgement.
I wouldn't be surprised to see 50 superdelegates or more come out in support of Obama on Tuesday.
As far as Olbermann is concerned, as someone chided out in an earlier comment....(saying he has his nose up Obama's posterior..)
He owes his entire career to the Clintons. Literally. I would imagine speaking up against them is incredibly hard. Instead of bashing the guy, perhaps you might actually look up the facts someday. Perhaps though, you are another lazy american, for whom facts are decided by whom says what, and what you personally wish to believe. :noid
-
What's one more corpse to the Clinton body count?
I've never seen them allude to one ahead of time though.
-
Robert Kennedy was killed the night of his victory in the June 1968 California primary and was intending to continue his campaign as his last (public) words were, "Now it's on to Chicago and let's win there!"
There I said it and I will not apologize for doing so.

She was refering to JUNE not assasinations. This 'issue making' out of a non-issue is mind boggling..

Then she should have left it at June then eh?

Only the media and political pundits make a big deal out of something so trivial. Everyone who was watching the interview knew what she meant. Many a candidate, both Dem and Rep, :aok have been ruined by groups blowing something out of the water that was taken out of context, it's par for the course in politics.
-
Have you noticed that everyone defending her when she screws up are the same folks that want to bash Bush for every little problem in the world?
You talking about our own late night bullseye?
-
Robert Kennedy, Jr. himself has said that he doesn't see what the uproar is about. Now, if HE isn't offended then why should anyone else be?
The press is piling on this issue because she is still contesting the coronation of their annointed one.

Citing Bobby's assassination as a reason to not get out of the race is stupidity at best.

.......AND she could have referenced at least 6 other campaigns in recent history, that went into June to decide, other than the one that ended tragically, to support her idea. She obviously was angling for something, she's referenced the assassination at least 4 times.
It is a tad mystifying, why she is fixated on it as an example of why she should stay in.

Why anyone would want another Clinton in the White House is beyond me.
Why would anyone want Obama? Ive asked hundreds of his supporters to tell me where he stands on Policy and each time all I get is a blank stare.
OK, he's 1/2 black. Theres a swell reason to elect someone President.
The guy is a one term Senator from a state party machine that reeks with dishonesty and criminality.
He is quite probably the least qualified to be a President Ive ever seen get a Party nomination. And thats a mouthful there.
-

She was citing that he was still in the race in "June" when he was assasinated, and as I stated before, she should have avoided mentioning the actual assasination. I do believe that it would have been ok for her to say he was still in the race in june, but she should have avoided saying anything about his assasination. It is relevant, yet in bad taste.
-

Hey look, more idiotic conclusion jumping!!

Refreshing to see someone has actually thought about, and spoken with some direct observation on this board about Yomama.
Yomama has accomplished pretty close to nothing so far in his political career, there have been instances reported on about his dishonest nature, but the MSM is conveniently ignoring that.
-

That we are not of like minds is something I am very proud of.
-
Citing Bobby's assassination as a reason to not get out of the race is stupidity at best.
Who did that?
All she was doing was citing examples of nomination fights going late into the primary season. It makes sense to cite her husbands and the most famous other example, RFK.
That RFK's run ended tragically does not take away from the fact that the '68 campaign went into the summer.
If she had cited '68 Chicago and said it was a contentious convention, would she then be accused of advocating rioting in the streets?
-
Yomama has accomplished pretty close to nothing so far in his political career, ...
In American history, there was a candidate for president who had next to nothing in military experience, spent 8 years in the state legislature, 2 years in the US house, ran for US Senate unsuccessfully twice.
He was known for his speeches, but those who actually heard him were unimpressed by his speaking voice.
He accomplished pretty close to nothing in his political career until he was elected president.
But it is said he was honest.
Then they carved his face on Mt Rushmore.

The world is a different place, and also I noticed dishonesty, steadily following a minister who teaches hate of America, and plans to destroy the 2nd amendment are not listed above.

The example I cite also had his faith questioned by the electorate.

Was that the one that presided over the only civil war this country has seen killing over half a million people and growing the federal government?
-
A war that was coming for a coupla decades regardless of who was in 1600 PA Ave?
yeah.
-
Then they carved his face on Mt Rushmore.
and stashed Mayan gold in his cornhole

No, I haven't. At least, not this time. I hate hillary and would gladly take a piss on her head even if it meant 3 years in prison. It doesn't make the context of the statement any different. People are going out of their way to make this an issue.
-
It was a stupid mistake. No way would a klinton tip their hand like that.
She was just thinking out loud and now when the 1/2 white guy has an accident it is gonna be even harder for the media to ignore.

Ah, you mean like the one we're having in the middle east now.
I guess in regards to Lincoln expanding the federal government it was inevitable. It is the nature of government to grow until people can no longer bear the burden and cast it aside.
-
Ah, you mean like the one we're having in the middle east now.
Can you point to a parallel to the Dred Scott decision or the Missouri Compromise?
If you cannot, ahh no.

Maybe so...

Indeed.

I dont see the problem with what Billary said.

I dont see the problem with what Billary said.
I don't see where she can honestly make a comparison between a Senator assassinated and her refusing to drop her obsession with attaining more power and money.
-
I just love seeing Librul Democraps shootin theirselves in the foot...the guns in your court now Obammie.
:D
-
Glad you guys are on this! If it weren't for the O'Club we'd be defenseless.
-

I cant stand her, hope you dont vote for her, hope no one votes for her. BUT, If you vote based on her statements being discussed here, I dont really know what to think about it.
