I tried runescape 9 years ago, it sucked, my friend played it and it still sucks. Thank you for your advice but RUNESCAPE is the biggest crap i ever played. :frown:

I'd have to agree with that.
World of Warcraft is supposed to be the holy grail of MMORPG's. I don't really like MMORPGs as a whole anymore, though.

Runescape is getting a new graphix update soon, should be full screen and they have sample pics.

Looks better, but still not 'good' by any stretch of the imagination. In fact, it looks almost like the 3d models are the same and they just put higher resolution textures on them.

To tell you the truth, i dont care if they got 3billion bucks off doing crack or weed, the game sucks. THANK YOU FOR TRYING. AGAIN..

Imagine a game like Wing Commander, Privateer, Eve, and Allegiance in a MMO with a functional economy and storyline. This game is skill based, you use your joystick (it isn't point and click like Eve)...
That was the old Jumpgate and will definitely be the new Jumpgate.

EVE :rock

I know a great game.
It's called "outside".
All you need is a way to turn a doorknob.
cheers,

Guild Wars. Not technically a mmorpg because you play mostly in instanced areas, but still a fine game. No monthly fee. No huge level grind. (20 is the max level and is quickly achieved.) No uber weapons or armor (max stat stuff is easily acquired, elite stuff is only better cosmetically.) No Pk'ers. A very active PvP portion as well as several large storyline campaigns that you can play by yourself or with friends.
It's not everyone's cup of tea, but I like it and have played for 3 years now. (Good part is, since there is no monthly fee, you can drop it and pick it back up again whenever you want without having to maintain a paid account.)

If you like fantasy, Lords of the Rings Online is a good game. For a non-elf/gnome/dwarf fantasy game, Age of Conan is another choice. If you're into more Sci-Fi, Tabula Rasa is one you may want to take a look at. It's actually a fun, fast paced game. If you're into the more space kind of Sci-Fi, as Del pointed out, Jumpgate and the upcoming Jumpgate Evolutions. I did find the learning curve to be rather steep for Jumpgate but fun none the less. There is also a sleeper Sci-Fi cyberpunkesk MMO, Neocron. It's also got a rather steep learning curve but a really friendly community if you play on the German servers.
ack-ack

We have a group waiting patiently for this as well.
