Title: What's all this mean?
Post by: Oogly50 on May 26, 2008, 01:35:33 PM
Okay, when I try to stay in formation with the offline mission AI, I'm always either going too fast or too slow, turning in a different direction, and other things.

So, I ask, when it says heading #, how am I supposed to know where that is?  Is there a meter or a dot command for it?

And speed, and altitude.  This would REALLY help me out.

look at your instrument cluster there's a DG there. DG= Directional Gyro. it has numbers on it. this is the heading they're talking about. you also can look at the compas just below the gunsight for the same info.
your airspeed indicator, and altimeter are also in the instrument cluster. your heading doesn't really matter, it seems only that you've hit 500 ft alt, and going at least 250, then it warps you to the combat zone.

I know where the Altimeter and Speedometer are...  It's just that when it says 300 speed, I stay right at 300 but everybody's either going slower or faster than me...

Headings are on the compass... 360= north, 090=east, 180=south, and 270=west... other denominations are marked on the compass as well (030, 060, etc...)

don't worry about it......when you're warped to the combat zone, you'll all be the same speed. at least till the engagement starts. and it's not a speedometer, but rather an airspeed indicator.  :D
