Title: Kinda sad, no 'Saving Private Ryan' today
Post by: LePaul on May 26, 2008, 02:44:35 PM: I see marathons of all sorts of things. I thought for sure we'd see "Saving Private Ryan" somewhere today?

Maybe that's a 4th of July thing?

Post by: Captain Virgil Hilts on May 26, 2008, 08:30:06 PM: "Twelve O'Clock High" followed "Enemy Below", and I'm watching "The Longest Day" right now. I'd like to see "The Great Escape" and "Where Eagles Dare" too, but I can see MOST of them any time, I have them on DVD.

But honestly, "Saving Private Ryan" and "The Longest Day" should be shown on June 6.

Post by: Getback on May 26, 2008, 08:51:11 PM: I watched 12:00 High. I never realized how funny that movie was in spots. One guy got busted 2x from Sargeant to private and then reinstated. The general told him to put stripes on that have a zipper.

Agreed!

Harvey Stovall was the root of that story. He had some great lines thruout the whole film.
