Title: It's in the Trap!!!
Post by: AWMac on May 26, 2008, 03:17:12 PM
Gotta love the wifey.
I set a cage trap out last night... had probs with oppossums. Placed some dry dog food in the trap and called it a night.
Wifey is Asian. We've been married well 28 Years now.  So anyways she wakes me up this morning screaming something is in the trap.
I just had to ask her..."Well what is it?"
She discribed a hideous beast with 4 legs and a evil look and it's bouncing from one side of the cage to the other....M'Kay... I'm picturing a Wilderbeast, Gazelle, Zebra, Rabid Kangaroo...maybe a Lion or Tiger *Only in Kenya, Forget Norway*.
I follow her into the backyard...underwear, t-shirt clenchin a 9 Iron thinkin this is gonna get ugly.
Dam just a Raccoon...
Which is good. My ticket to getting the new roof I wanted. See the insurance company will only cover Raccoon damage.. no oppossums or squirrels.  Of course I have thought of catchin a squirrel and paintin the tail a lil hopin they'd buy off on it...But now I have a real live bonifide Raccoon.
I can rent above said Raccoon out after the insurance claim if anyone is interested.
I will accept PayPal but you gotta cover shipping and handling.  Serious inquiries only.

Ingenious, but squirrels with painted tails could be the next pet rock.

Knock a hole in yer roof... rent my raccoon. You get a new roof and just deposit the raccoon into the self addressed stamped envelope and return it to me.

Called the insurance company today and explained that I have proof now.  See before we had called only when the Chimney was damaged 2 Years ago. The ASSessor on the claim told my wifey that we don't have proof it was Raccoons and seeing that it was more than likely less than $500 damage they couldn't cover it.

So I'm speaking to the agent.. asked if he wanted to come see the dam Raccoon or should I bring it to him.  He said "Naw that isn't neccessary you can just go release it into the woods elsewhere and a ASSessor would call me later." I've been payin the same insurance company for 13 Years now.  I'm thinkin I smell varmin tang...

I kept my lil Raccon buddy in the cage. Fed it.  2 Hours later I get a call from Insurance company saying well I'm not covered for animal damage on the roof.  "What?" I then proceeded to hand them the crap back that they handed out 2 Years ago.  Only now it's worse. They not only gotta repair the roof but pay for exterminators, insulation, water damage to the ceilings and whatever else needed to recover from these bandit lookin bastages.  They're just lucky I didn't feed this raccoon my hand... or there'd be some serious Band-Aid issues and such.

They relooked the policy and yes, I'm covered for Raccoons.  It's funny how they'll flip-flop on chit.

More as follows,

Mac

Take the racoon to the local agents office and release inside the door.
