Let me give you the set. For the last ten minutes this Yak has been making poor pick runs on me everytime I start to fight someone. Every time I get a shot on him he runs about 6k turns and trys again. So I find myself about co-alt with him this time and what to find out who he is. Like before he runs then turns back and runs again. After a few minutes I get a shot on his and kill him and he calls me a HOer. I would like to ask do you consider this a HO.

I have another one from the next sortie. He was at about 17k when someone got on his six and he droped to the deck and ran to his ack. When I get there he runs right for his ack when someone gets on him and they brake off. So I make a pass at him while hes heading back to his base I shoot him and he hits the ground. After he says I vulched him. First off he was going about 250-300 MHP on his "final" and second he made about three runs like that with no gear or flaps down. Do you think it was a vulch?

IMO, no in both cases.

kinda sounds a lil like one of your squaddies in the first part. :D :rofl

If he comes in front of your gunsight you shoot, the direction his plane faces isn't a factor, he's the enemy/target. Till he's out of his plane and in the tower he's a valid target.

First one is NOT a HO, it's a simple deflection shot.
Second is NOT a vulch as he showed NO intention of slowing down.
Don't mind that guy TK...I've run into him on 2 other occasions.
One of them being me in a 38 and him in a Spit on auto-climb. I was slowly creeping on him until I got 600 on him, and he didn't turn. I shot him, and he said "Nice cherrypick Mst"

Vultching someone who has run away from you and is about to land is ok in my book. What I don't approve are pilots who dive 10k ft from out of nowhere to vultch a lander who is already gear-down, and the two were not previously engaged in a fight.
Vultching someone taking off is always legit. :t

that guy is a tard

I cant open your image files. I'll say this however, a "vulch is when the tires are on the ground. And not just "on the ground" but right after spawning.
I dont believe you can run from a fight, for whatever reason, circle your ack, then touchdown your wheels, scream foul when someone kills you. Its not like its "game over" just cause you flew back and touched the pavement. And this guy didnt even do that did he? He just circled the base.
To me a "Vulch" is a prolonged session to pad your score. All teams do it. Ive watched a map and seen a base cap go on for many long minutes. OK so I up a Hellcat with ords and fly over. There have been times Ive flown over the town and seen not one building touched even tho these guys have been running up and down the runways for 20 to 30 mins. Now THAT is a vulch.
Your example is just plain good flying on your part and the kill was perfectly acceptable. When I run out of gas Ive ran to my own ack, circled until I slowed enough to land, and if I get killed then its on me and my tactics were poor.

:lol I wouldn't call those a vulch and a HO, so much as a failed ack drag, and a failed... something. Going nose to nose with a 38 and breaking to give him a good shot point blank... not a good tactic. Good kills, especially seeing his responses.
:aok

I'm at work and can't open them right now.
Having not even seen the shots/video, I've fought you enough Trukill that even if you DID ho or vulch the dude, I'd take your word he had it coming.
You've always been a fair adversary when I've fought you. I'll just take your word on this one.

Well, the first is definitely a ho.........if the guy is HUAH!!!! :devil
Same could be said about the 2nd being a vulch. He had the means an opportunity to avoid you and chose not to do so. Guessin' he was HUAH then also. :D
-
:rofl Those are tooo good!
First one is not a HO, just an excellent deflection shot kill. He just failed to avoid it, all his fault.
Second one is not a vulch. To be a vulch they have to be atleast on the ground landing or upping. He just showed to intention on slowing down, so it was a fair kill. Though I don't approve of vulching anyone when landing, I wait for them to try to reup and keep vulching them down :aok .
If I were you, I'd do the exact same things. Especially on the first film. Someone just running away, trying to get a HO in while your still turning into them, or waiting for you to show your six, I'd take that shot too. In fact I have once on an La-7 when I was trying to RTB. I had low fuel and he kept coming at me at high speeds, and run when I turned into him. Waited for thim to start turning towards me, turn on him, and shot him down almost in the same fasion as you did. Got called on a HO too. :D
-
I wouldn't be in "Technical" terms to be called a HO, but if you loom at that first video, He did dive down to try and avoid the HO. I had the same case were there was one guy that did HO me, but he thought I was running the whole time, then a big conflict started.
If he runs like that the whole time, then by all rights go and HO.

Who's the squeaker in question? Can't watch the film.
