This just goes to show why all maniquins and cardboard cutouts need to have an all-out ban!

Instead, however, Mr Williams was taken to the cells and held for more than 13 hours before being released.

He is now on bail for a suspected firearms offence, and Lara Croft remains impounded as evidence.

And you guys believe this year old story is the whole truth?

 :rofl

Quote
Supt John Berry said: "This incident took place after police received a call from a man who was clearly in distress.

"Officers went to his address and knocked at the door several times but the man didn't answer.

"After looking through an obscured glass window they saw a silhouette of a figure pointing what appeared to be a firearm inside the house."

So this guy rings the police "in distress", the police come and see the silhouette of a hand-gun and armed response breaks down the door. Why is that unreasonable? Frankly, they should have the charged the dick with wasting police time.

So far there is only one story on the situation. Do you have a differing news story Dowding? Absent any other credible source the assumption would be that it is in fact a correct story.

What's not to believe?  We're talking about socialist, gun petrified Great Britain here.  I know my first post here seemed sarcastic, but I will bet some knee-jerk idiot politician will introduce some "anti-maniquin" legislation after this.  And the cops throwing this guy in jail is exactly what I expect.  They know they screwed up and they are doing what cops do best; covering their butts by acting like they did everything right and the victim is to blame.

Better hide your knives. I read the other day in the story about the teen actor that was stabbed to death that GB is going to take a look at knife violence.

I will try to find a link to the story, and post it.
