Quantity. The ones you see that actually effect a tank are usually hundreds of pounds of explosives.
-
True, they do use an unbalanced amount of explosives unlike the U.S. army, but i still think the U.S. needs better explosives, such as, bigger amount of explosives. You got to admit, terrorists may use several pounds of explosives, but when it comes to killing they always know how to. = several pounds of explosives. :)

You guys are trying to have an elevated discussion about military explosives with a 13yo kid.
I just thought I'd remind you of that.

Like MotherLand said we were fighting the Iraqi Army not insurgents.
Plus i have something to say, why do they still call the war in Iraq a war, is this just the media exagerating everything?
:noid
There are American soldiers killing and being killed by enemy combatants. Whether or not it is technically a 'war' (it's actually technically defined as a limited conflict, correct?), it fits my personal definition.
With over 4,000 of America's finest citizens being dead and almost 30,000 wounded (going from Wiki's current statistics), I'd hardly call it an overblown media thing.
-
Well remember compared to other wars this amount of casualties is very low but much higher then say the gulf war. Is it just the media this time period likes to make a big deal about small things?
-
Dumbest thread I have read in a while.

ANY time that an American soldier loses their life, for ANY REASON WHATSOEVER, it is not a small thing.
So sorry to interrupt your Lego time.
Carry on.

Rich gets credit for being the first one to call a spade, a spade.

I'm trying to figure out why we would need explosives to take out a "terrorist" armored vehicle.
Apparently the thousands of Hellfire, Maverick, JSOWs and 120mm depleted uranium penetrators
we have over there already aren't up to the job? :huh

Bear in mind this footage was shot 10 miles away, and the dust cloud went up 10,000 feet.
Yeah, we dont' have "good" explosives.
(Sigh)

it's not really the media blowing things out of proportion. i think they're supposed to tyr to get everyone behind the war.
there wouldn't be 1/2 of the casualties, though IF we didn't try to fight with rules of engagement. if another country invaded the US, do you think they'd avoid anything that may injure a civilian? our soldiers(who are doing an AWSOME job!) simply need to be allowed to fight un-hindered, and this will end.
