There were times I'd drop on an airfield and then circle it, in 67s, daring anyone to up against them. I use them mostly for hitting ords, but also for chewing up enemy fighters. It is an awsome aircraft.

I remember flying Ki's and ending up being a 262 magnet, much to thier demise. :D

Pannono <3 top 20mm :aok

I remember being tasked to fly KI's in FSO one week.
Our escort couldn't keep up, but as it turned out, we didn't need them. :devil
The logs showed we lost more planes to friendly fire that night than to enemy action. Those 20mils in tight formations are dangerous when kill shooter is off :lol

Vandals,
No doubt you've done this one. A 262 zips to your 6 in a Ki, he flies a smidgen high and left sliding upon your high 7 or 8 dropping flaps, no throttle to slow down.
A couple rounds of 20 mm later and . . . well, you know how it ends.

Personally I'm glad you don't see many Peggy's flying around. They're fast which makes setting up your attack more difficult, and it's easy to get sucked into the fire arc of that 20mm if the gunners a good shot you have to be really careful when approaching them.
Or maybe I'm just lazy, I hate attacking B26's too because it takes longer to chase them down and get in the right position. :)

encountered a 109 last night and as soon as he id me tucked tail and ran. :D

Forget the big guns. I fly AR234's. Speed works great (and I've even managed to kill a 262 and wound another with the fixed tail guns).
Speaking of fast buffs, while I was having my bombing bug a couple of months ago and had to keep testing on-line I got used to using formations of Bostons to make quick runs (and not have to lose more AR234's). They are very fast and that little bomb package does a lot more damage than you'de expect.

I think 12K is the Boston's speed zone. Great for zipping over to a semi beleaguered base or one where 8k is the ceiling. They are speedy. VH a nice target. Good for morale on your side too.

They also roll very well. Roll the 67 with your pedals and you increase the fire arc of the 20mms by a ton. Not just that but you get very good coverage with your waist guns. Ive spent many an evening keeping ords down along an entire front in 67s. That, and shooting cons.

Boston 3 is my cv killer although if its full up i have to make another run but its fast and climbs quick.
