Ordinarily I would agree, but have you forgotten:

Bush vs. Gore?

Hell it's still spoken and argued about.

~Well at least she didn't part the Red Sea at the end of her speech.

"Your children will remember, at this point oceans quit rising!"

Word of the day - megalomania.

If we were to shun EVERY presidential candidate who made such absurd self-congratulatory remarks the oval office would have been empty since the 1780s.

Then again, that wouldn't necessarily be a BAD thing....

I quit listening to Obama speak about 30 seconds into his first major public appearance at the last Democratic convention. When you have nothing substantial to say and all those words to say nothing it means nothing.

This is my case in point, thus my conclusion. Hillary just reaffirmed the point. :)

Quote
I want to start tonight by congratulating Senator Obama and his supporters on the extraordinary race that they have run.

Senator Obama has inspired so many Americans to care about politics and empowered so many more to get involved. And our party and our democracy is stronger and more vibrant as a result. So we are grateful.

And it has been an honor to contest these primaries with him, just as it is an honor to call him my friend. And, tonight, I would like all of us to take a moment to recognize him and his supporters for all they have accomplished.

It would seem that some people have more trouble listening than women have admitting defeat.

uhh huh...

NEW YORK (AP) - Hillary Rodham Clinton says she will consult with party leaders and supporters to determine her next steps now that Barack Obama has enough delegates to clinch the Democratic nomination.
In a speech in New York, Clinton told supporters that: "This has been a long campaign and I will be making no decisions tonight." As she spoke, supporters chanted "Denver, Denver," thinking ahead to the site of the party's convention in August.

Oh, by the way Rip, your chart doesn't show it, but if the wife kicks the bucket first...then the husband has a chance...

She never did say congrats on winning the nomination....it's kind of like nodding when the crowd claps afte ya make a putt. Your not nessasarily saying thanks...you could be nodding and thinking...."Whatever ya bunch a hacks....that was a gimmie anyday anyway".

You're right, she was probably congratulating him on his hair, or maybe that stylish suit.

Her speech last night was ambiguous;  she conceded but she didn't concede, probably with the idea of continuing the struggle in Denver.  By the by, the smile on her face while she delivered that speech was ghastly.  Sent a shudder up my spine, let me tell ya...

Not to be confused, my original topic was that she's having a tough time admitting defeat, thus the delay in her decision to make any announcement last night. It was the "gracious" time to do so...but then again, "Gracious" and Hillary blend like oil and water so it was not surprising to see her delay the inevitable.

Former President Bill Clinton apparently had his eyes clawed out.
No suspects reported.
Details as they become available.

I'm sure that if a woman were ever fairly defeated (by a man) she would have no trouble admitting it graciously.   ;)

Obama is a walking GAFF. I've listened to him and nothing really worthwhile comes out and what does come out is riddled full of holes, I'm not sure why they call him a great speaker. I'm not seeing it.

Mac,

Saw the story about "Slick Willy" and Gina Gershon, did you?

And I thought Bill had no taste in women. :D

Do you think Hillery is p1ss'd? I could never picture Gina in a blue pantsuit and a scarf either.
