Title: LYNCHMOB Congratulations
Post by: DREDger on June 08, 2008, 07:33:06 PM
I would like to congratulate the LYNCHMOB for their style of play and capablity.

On Sunday night they 'busted' an NOE mission I was running against the bishops.  They were able to mass light fighters in force, with altitude, and fly directly towards the location of the mission.  This was before the mission was in range to flash the base, and was in a direction opposite the prevailing fighting.  There were no other enemy planes which would have been able to spot the mission.

Generally speaking, having run hundreds of missions, discovery of NOE missions occurs with enemy alertness when bases begin to flash with no dar showing.  Or, when through unfortunate mission circumstance, a erant enemy plane locates and broadcasts the mission location and direction.

It is for this uncanny ability to know enemy movements before they are presented which I think deserves many acholades to the LYNCHMOB.  It is obvious to me that the skill they presented on Sunday night was due to hours of practice and dedication to good sportsmanship.

Those LYNCHMOB players involved were:

Curlew
Pope14
MightyT
51Fifty
Tralfazz

Best regards from me on behalf of the Blind Bats squadron.

Dredger   :salute

<S> DreDger for being such a spoiled sport...
WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH..my mission got busted!!!!..
First of all..its BS to even have this post.  Just cuz your little horde got busted up, calls for whining, cheating, spying.
Too many O times we ran public missions and get jumped..big deal. My advice to you is get together with your squad or have squad ops when your running your little horde...it will be much more effective. I stoped my so called "nuke" missions because you can always bet some idiot is blabbing to other countries.  GROW UP

I think I remember that one, your mission was spotted enroute as a complete fluke, the call went out and some others that weren't just lynchmob just happened to be doing nothing else so we upped immediately. BTW it's not hard to get altitude on a NOE mission...

<S> it was a very good try though and we thought we were too late :lol

Funny, you whine complain and accuse every time ur mission is ruined dred? Every failed mission needs a fall guy, congrats lynchmob ur it!

Is it possible your noe mission could of unknowingly flown within radar range of one of there carriers? I know ive busted noe missions by seing them pass by carrier before.

Wow, that must have been your best, most favorite mission. I'm constantly in missions that get busted.
We caught you. Maybe you didn't see us pitch our ords to go after you.
When things go wrong for me it's either because I'm sorry or I had some bad luck. Not because someone is a cheater.
Perhaps you overestimate the importance of this game in my life. Maybe you should reevaluate it's relevance to yours!

I've busted countless NOE's simply but climbing out and accidently running into them or same, seeing a dar disappear and reappear.

I believe Falcon23 has felt my NOE busting wrath a number of times. And yes DREDger you do have alot of new guys flying in your mission why
I dont attend, least not last mission due to fact a shade in a c47 dropped troops on the field not town, wasting an entire mission.

First of all good job guys!!!

second , from what ive been told about the events this sure sounded to me like one mission ran into another in flight. We "the lynchmob" practice this scenario countless times. Our missions NOE or otherwise get busted regularly. We just keep it to ourselves and modify our tactics. I take extreme exception with you accuseing my men of useing any form of cheat wether it be shades hacks or any other form. My guys are exactly like me they play this game straight and play for the competition and the commeradery of flying together and knowing our enemy well. Were not noobs at this we have been playing this game for many years and i for one take this accusation as an insult on my squad and me personaly.

<S> mob keep up the good work gentlemen  :salute

Missions get busted, just a matter of fact..Now some are busted because of poor planning, and some are busted due to new people in missions not knowing what the AUTO-PILOT key does,or they want to fly acrobatics during the mission..

Poor planning busts are the worst,as you have no-one to blame but yourself.unfortunetly,my missions when they are busted are for that reason usually..noobish activity mission busts account for very little..

I ranted on 200 just the other day,a very small rant, but a rant none-the-less, abdout some cons upping form a base I would of NEVER expected anyone to be coming from at that time.So I changed the target, and I actually do not recall if I got the new target base or not,but after my rant on 200,I felt like a heel when it came to light the dar from the Primary target was just a bunch of bombers.. :huh..needless to say i felt very foolish..

And I have actually learned to just not say anything when I think spying is going on,but I opened my mouth, and got to eat crow..

So,missions dont always work, thats a given, and I have accepted that...the biggest thing I have learned not to do,is to take it so seriously. Besides I am tired of my wife coming into the room and looking at me like I am having some sort of break-down,and then closing the door to the room I am in as she leaves.. :lol

Busted missions suck, but I will be DA@# if I will let a few missions that dont get through, ruin my love for launching them...

And yes adonai has busted many of my missions for a time, but in all honesty Adonai,I know that during many of those times there was a shade involved..not everytime, but there were times..

                                                              Falcon23 :salute

First off, I didn't accuse anyone of anything.  Nor did my post use the word cheat, shade, or hack as Smokey23 has ranted about...interesting choice of words though.

OtralfzO substitutes an ad hominem argument for a discussion, then after 2 more posts figures the ole dar bar would find some legitimacy.

At the time, Curlew went on to me on 200, from left field, about how I've always admitted using spies as well.  That was odd, almost as if trying to justify something. I don't even know the guy, much less where he came up with that...curious though.

I have run countless missions and had my share of busts.  Flash a carrier, go over a spawn, errant enemy plane spots you, dar bar popping because of noobs, you name it....Enough to recognize a regular bust from an extraordinary bust.

This was extraordinary, my congratulations to the LYNCHMOB players I mentioned.   :salute

Dredger is a good guy, but it is a bad post.

Dredger, I know I busted one of your missions before because a rook was coming into the base. It turned out he was all alone but I had called out possible NOE and everyone showed up. I thought well that was a false alarm and just then your mission came into the radar circle and well we were all there. What was amazing to me is that you guys got the town down in about 2 minutes even with all the cons swarming you.

Today we got busted just because Knights were running a mission to another base and happened upon us.

The night before we upped a mission for a vacant base. We got half way there and a bunch of Rooks upped and busted us good. Could have been spies. I doubt it. I think we were seen by a high con.

Anyway those things happen. I understand the frustration all the same.

Addendum: Smokey is right. I have flown with the Lynchmob. They are doggedly determined.

PS. I foresee this thread being burned.

Maybe, just maybe they thought hey lets use this field and attack rooks from a different angle just as your NOE mishun was inbound.  It can happen Dredger.  I think accusing a whole squadron of spying just because they spoiled your attack is out of order.

Thats the risk you run with NOE missions and no proper fighter cap.

In the time it took you to write up that post you could have rolled another one and made it happen.

Most of the little details and small stuff has been said and I am going to emphisis the points that I really agree with.

First off I want to say that this post is uncalled for, the fact that you fealt the need to put this on the forums is ridiculous.

Second off I would just like to that you calling me out specificly is uncalled for as well, I found it funny that you state that this is not ad hominen (personal attack for those who dont know what that means) and then proceed to call me out the next line. And to clarify that statement it wasnt phrased as well as i could have, what I was trying to get at, I had seen you before state that you had used ill gotten intell before as well as several of more dedicated players in this game.

As well I would like to say that you said that I dont even know you, well in counter to that I would like to say that you dont know me or my squad, no matter what you think, but the moment you called out the mob on 200 anything became game, so dont try and lable me as someone whose here to pick a fight and runs my mouth to much.

Also I would like to say that this happens all the time, to me, you, my squad, thier squad, and (insert your name here). Its part of the AHII life, for the most of the part you get your oscar kicked and go somewhere else, its depressing and sucks. I have even still been able to take a base after being buster outside of a dar ring.

On Another note I would like to make a point, you called out 5 men aswell as the squad as a whole, but yet this is something that is only responsible to a single person who you dont know or can figure out, so what have you really done? nothing but try and tarnish the Lynchmob name as well as 5 specific men all because you are butthurt about having one mission busted, its not like it was gonna win the war for you or was gonna make a major difference in the grand scheme, but yet you fealt the need to call us out and tarnish our names.

To finish things off i would like to thank you, its the people like you who make me not want to play the game, Im sorry that you are now gonna think that we are horrible people because as I said earlier you dont really know us and we are great respectible guys.

First off...Id be pretty P.O'd if I were a member of the Blind Bats for even having a squaddie post this classless thread.
His extraordinary use of words does not make up for the immature attitude and lack of respect for others. For your info mr DREDger, unlike you, Im not a kid. Ive gotten frustrated many of times in this game, and when I do...its time to log off.
Rants on 200 are expected. Sarcastic salutes on the BBS to others accusing them of spying with absolutley nothing to go on..Classless.

I joined Lynchmob for the reason that they respect ALL players in this game. They are all CLASS A players and Im honored to be a part of their team. <S>

I think more are discovered because people cant maintain alt  :rofl

I bet you, if you take the guys you had in your mission and ask them to make turns while maintaining altitude, you will find out why a few of them may have climbed into darbar alt.  Then again, it is always the other guys fault so I am sure a SPY got ya  :O

Sometimes even no activity at all is a tell tale sign all by itself. When a whole front suddenly gets very quiet it's very conspicuous, especially when some of that NOE/horde squads are on that enemy's side.
Depending on map size and field layouts, it may be quite easy to guess their next target then.

But of course I even had been accused of having used "spies" when I "discovered" an enemy bomber mission @ 20k altitude  :rofl

aye, I just happened to poke my head into the arena at the time all this went down.  Personally, I can't seem to take this game serious enough to actually bother with this whole spy thing. what a waste of time, to do it, and to complain about it.

One thing that, again I fail to see, is how enacting stricter side balancing measures is somehow going to make everything better for those who feel they are spied on (as was the topic on ch 2).  It's not like you can switch back and forth as it is...what are there people who sit around on one team, just waiting for one of the 100s of missions during a day to up, change to another country, alert, and then hope mission still headed on same course.  wait for an hour or 2, or whatever the limit is, switch back to another country, wait another hour or 2, find mission, rinse repeat... and yet, after the paranoid spy, witch hunt is on, this is the next comment, about how it's too easy to switch sides...which will lead to....shouldn't be able to pm people......

this is a game right?

if you choose to fight people with ACM, maybe you shouldn't of been in that mission..forgive me, but killing buildings at an undefended Field requires much skill. Myself, I will spend my 15 each month killing CVs ( yes Adonai classified me as the "CV molester ) or ditching planes in the middle of a fight to help out fellow friends. (As you see, its very effective).  I or any squaddies aren't worried on score or combat maneuvers. We will jump at the chance to bring supplies or a "6" call to someone even if they aren't squaddies.  Try it sometime, you ll make needed Friends.

Give it up, your at the point when you cant sa anymore that is going to be productive to your case. Oh and I like the picture, real rute, glad to see you were looking up my stats. But I would like to point out a common theme that seems to be running through this thread that is in that picture. Look and see the 2 rook posts that are above mine, 2 solid insults, but yet you seem to say that what i said was classless, but all I did was do exactly what you were doing, acuseing somone of cheating, so i cant be that classless if your doing it now can I. Plus your insulting me, and yet im still the classless one? Im sorry but I was raised under the impression that to insult someone is not all that classy.

So who is really that classless here?

But of course I even had been accused of having used "spies" when I "discovered" an enemy bomber mission @ 20k altitude  :rofl

Exactly Lusche. When a horde suddenly disappears, then it's almost 100% there is a mission somewhere.
As far as Dredger's post goes, it is completely baseless. The Lynchmob has always been a very upstanding squad that works together. Unless you have indisputable facts of cheating, then don't post anything of this nature.

Lusche...cant wait till we run into each other with you in a 262 and me in a AR234. :rofl

This is right on, a few months ago on the small island map Rob53 and I noticed that Dredger was running noe's.

We would each pick a likely target and run a patrol, I think we busted 2 of them that night, was great fun :)

Geez, I thought it would be obvious...they are running NOE's because, unlike you and trip 9's, they don't have the stones for a fight.  :D

Shamus...

Damn man!!! Don't give away the secrets to busting NOE's!!! :O As often as not, as simple check of the roster will tell you if there might be an NOE coming...sheesh, it aint rocket science!!!!

Btw, not the get the thread locked or anything, but what ever happened to the "lynch mob is a racial slur" guy?? (oh heck, this thread is prolly due for a lock anyway  :devil)

Thank you RumbleB <S>.
if you choose to fight people with ACM, maybe you shouldn't of been in that mission..forgive me, but killing buildings at an undefended Field requires much skill.
I'm done with this thread. you guys look foolish enough just posting it. quit while your not TOO far behind.

I don't know who you're talking to but I'm in a great squad and I'm usually the first person to throw check6s with button and calling the plane on vox. I also have great friends but they don't all live inside my computer :)
I'm not worried about score either. Killing buildings? Just cause I like to join a mission ONCE IN A BLUE MOON doesn't invalidate my opinion. Besides, I shot two down in my 110 with a busted elevator. That was fun enough.

Curlew, it's 200...  :O :O :O please don't say the word classless again lol. I said "Classless?" as a question to myself and response to someone else, and that I don't know you... stop freaking out.

This thread is moderately fun.  :pray

If those players mentioned, played it as they adamantly seem to profess, then there is no issue is there?  This post simply congratulates them on their abilities and situational awareness.

This post has solicited a great deal of attention, much more than I would have thought.  Some very defensive and shrill commentary as well, which like it or not, is a telling reaction.

I think what is especially poignant is at the top of page 3, outlining (a player mentioned) comment on 200 to me, "Hey Dredger, didn't you admit to having spies too."   I'm sorry, but that one really makes me chuckle.  It's like the drunk driver telling the cop he couldn't perform the sobriety test even if he was sober.  In other words, what he has done is implicate his group as by asserting guilt onto me.  :lol

So what can I say.  If you want to hate then hate.

You know, this whole thing reminds me of playing "Battleship" back in the 80's.  It was never pleasant like they showed on the commercials... "I do say sister, you sank my battleship!  Congratulations.  Play again?"

No, no, it was more like "Mom!  Mom!  He's cheating!  He looked over the board and saw where my battleship was!"  "Did not!"  "Did too!"  Then someone would grab the entire game and throw it against the wall and then nobody would win and somehow that made it all better.  Thank goodness it is impossible to throw AH against the wall otherwise some of the personalities around here would have thrown it against the wall long ago and where would the rest of us be?

P.S.  Does anyone know if there is a Battleship forum on the internet?  I'm sure there are a lot of threads on there just like this.

P.P.S.  I bet a lot of you had trouble finding someone to play Battleship with.

P.P.S.  I see nothing wrong with Dredger's post.  He was only saying congratulations.  Which is exactly the way the old commercials implied that Battleship should be played.  Which brings us full circle to where I began.

DRED missions are fun, challenging to fight  specially when the reset is close, but unfortunately relay only on surprise undetected attack ,without fighter escort most of the time:  those fat heavy 110s on the deck are helpless against only 1 fighter with 5k alt that's going to kill the C47s.
Lusche,Pacerr,Stang,Bruv and many others busted my NOE missions many times, but i salute them  for smart flying, would never accuse of cheating and spying,  The  game offers entertainment even if you lose or win a fight .

<S> Master GHI...
What makes this man such a stand up guy is that he is the only one that can get away with taking 20 newbs on a mission. If you ever flown with him, youll find out that he makes the most of any situation that pops up. (except them poor #s guys that wanna drop troops on the feild, then you hear that accent tearin up vox ).
Bottom line..your not going to get your way ALL the time in this game. DEAL with the situations that are brought up..dont go accusing people.

I did not accuse anyone of anything.  I invite all of you to read my post carefully.  I can not help how people draw their own conclusions (or care for that matter).

It is funny though where Curlew says "Dredger, you have spies too!"  He's one of the lynchmob guys I congratulate. (see top of pp 4 RumbleB's post).  I'll let you all draw your own conclusions from that statement.

Trafalzz and Curlew seem to go on and on in this post about how I've done this or that.   I'll let you all draw your own conclusions of that as well.

I think GHI is great.  His assessment of my missions are incorrect though, that I rely 'only' on surprise.  I run many different kinds of missions, NOE's are just one type, and not even the most common.  More typically I run altitude missions with fighter escort of jabo's or bombers.

Only a very few who posted here do I recognise as ever participating in any of my missions.  I've taken the time to post them and organize them.  Many new players (and old) have told me how much they enjoy them and learned new elements of game play, just by being part of an organized effort.

Yet some here find it so easy to pass judgment of my motivation or style of play.

I'll let you draw your own conclusions of that as well.

oh ok, though i said "hey dredger, didnt you admit you have spies to?" and didnt i already i adress this point, sorry sir but I invite all of you to read my post carefully. but thats just me, but while we are on that point i have yet to hear you deny that you do have spies....interesting.

now for the part where you talk about planing missions, ad i would like to say thats very cool that you do, but everyone that has posted against your point is posting against your because i am sure they have been on a mission that failed, i bet in the time since this has happened you have had a mission fail, it happens, they are posting against your point not because you are bad mission runner but because you are so arrogant to think that you can and should accuse us, excuse me, set us up for others to acuse us of cheating, which has yet to happen, because you even think that is a bad move and that what you are doing is ridiculous.

sorry buddy but you need to keep it real

I say PLAY ON!!!
Im not going to spend the rest of my AH life with paranoid dillusions that "someone is a spy".  DRED..admit it, your stratigic planning is VERY predictable. Lusche is exactly right..if ther is a calm before a storm and your online with 1/3 rook airforce suddenly stopped fighting, expect something. Lynx has developed a keen eye on the map and Ive run into him quite a few times doing a NOE to a desirable high alt or zone base.
LYNCHMOB does NOT have cheats, hacks or "double agents" to break up your missions or make your life miserable. lifes too short and we dont make this game our lives. We fly for fun and do a great job.
Check that roster next time you plan your missions..cuz we will be there :). Its going to be alot of fun in the future encounters :salute

I say PLAY ON!!!

To oTrafalzo I say HERE HERE, well said.  In truth, we who play this game have so much more in common that one would think, what could be described as an shared interest in WW2.  I have no doubt that includes all the LYNCHMOB players, and I salute you.

As far as my strategic planning being VERY predictable.  I would say as far as having to play a WW2 plane choice, within the confines of an established map , with a limited participation of players of varying skill level, I'd say ok, um sure, predictable.

As far as LYNX running NOE missions, well, I can tell you he almost invariably never runs country missions, maybe squad, and rarely NOE missions to boot.  So not sure why you felt the need to mention him.  His character in this game is unassailable, always willing to show new guys the ropes, lands his planes even when not expedient, and above all, enjoys the historic aspect of the game.  In real life he suffers daily pain from a medical condition, but being a true Brit, would find it bad form to complain and instead approaches with the emphatic stiff upper lip one may come to expect from a royal subject.  I would hope you would bear all this in mind before posting anything even remotely disparaging.

Curlew, well, you wrote the words inferring spying didn't you.  It was even posted by a neutral third party to boot (see RumbleB's post top pp4).

You should probably follow Masherbrum's advice to 'let it go'.   You've been taken to school by this post and entirely due to your own doing.  Welcome to the NFL kid.  No hard feelings though.  If we're ever on the same side be it MA or FSO, you can count on me to clear or check your six in all sincerity.

I guess that's it until tomorrow, same bat time, same bat channel.
