We all knew it to be a false representation anyway.  We all know that Nilsen is horribly disfigured and impotent since that night of the horrific fishing hook  incident.  He was very brave to tell us the story of how he got the hooks caught in his nethers and then the line caught in the props.  How awful it must have been to stumble over the chum bucket and have his own arm fall on the throttle, thus, in effect, being responsible for ripping  his own reproductive organs from his body.
