Title: A request for: 5" Air-to-ground rockets on B-25s
Post by: Yossarian on June 11, 2008, 04:09:10 PM
So, there was this thread the other day about the rockets on Typhoons, and someone posted a link in it to another website.  I scrolled down this page, and found a picture of a B-25 being loaded up with several 5-inch rockets.  I searched this on Google recently, and found several other results confirming that these rockets were used by B-25Hs during the war.

Scroll down on this one, and it says that B-25Hs could carry 8x 5-inch rockets on underwing hardpoints:
http://www.xs4all.nl/~fbonne/warbirds/ww2htmls/nortb25.html (http://www.xs4all.nl/~fbonne/warbirds/ww2htmls/nortb25.html)

If you scroll down on this website, it also states that B-25Hs could carry: "Eight 5-inch rockets under the outer wing panels.":

This website also says that B-25Hs could carry HVAR rockets:

This website also says that the B-25H could be loaded with: "Rockets: up to 8 x 5 in (12.7mm)":

Here's the post from which I got the original website and idea for this topic:

Here's the website itself:

Here's the picture of the rockets being loaded onto a B-25 (from that website, you need to scroll down to see it):

The current ordnance system is maxed out.  Until it's been revamped with the perked ordance system, we will not be seeing additional ordnance loadouts like 5 inch rockets or torps for the B-25H.  Pyro made the statement in another thread, use the search function to find it for a better and more detailed explanation.

Just a note...the search function is pretty fubared right now...and the SMF search feature isn't very good to begin with.
