We have some beautiful sunsets in Mobile, Alabama.  That's the battleship U.S.S. Alabama.  Have seen that view many times from the Causeway.  Nice photo Swoop.  Did you take it yourself?  If you're in Mobile, maybe we could drink us a brewsky or two or three.

I lived outside of Norfolk NOB as a teenager. Ben Morrell Naval Housing. Dad was on the Forrestal at the time.
Messed with Squids from NOB, NAS and the D&S piers... They'd go into Rays Sub Shop on Hampton Blvd, a locals hangout, talkin crap about us and our long hair..Fun times I was 15 then.
Hell we already lossened the tops of all the salt and pepper shakers.
Stand outside of the Shop and watch them sit down to eat, they'd flip us off and grab the shakers.
At least the Jarheads outta CINCLANT would give us a chase.

Well you're right about me not being in Mobile but one day I may very well be, I really fancy doing "road trip USA" one day.

there were these old black dudes trying to figure out of they could make it to the cooler with the fish in it.

here is the uss alabama taken at around the same time.  not quite the sunset happening here...but it proves that it exists yes?!!

I like the signs at the USS North Carolina in Wilmington...

"Do not feed the alligators"

I guest that includes jumping in for a swim.

Nice photo Swoop?  Where are you getting these gems?

You'd better keep us all informed about when this will occur. Come to Oklahoma in the spring. I'll buy the beer, you bring a kite.
