Yep, four .50's to help you make friends. ;)
The dorsal turret was removed from early production models because it disrupted airflow over the tail, causing extreme buffeting whenever it was elevated or traversed. On later aircraft, it was often locked in the forward position, or replaced entirely with an additional fuel tank. As a result, with no guns to fire, the gunner was often left behind.
