Couldn't put it down, really man.  I was sceptical at first, but Parker impressed me with his approach.  Great war time photo's!  Very sad history though, I can never stop thinking about the Nachwuchs and since I was a young man myself, their story; much more than all the hipe, accomplishments, and accolades of the Experten...fueled the already burning desire within me to learn as much of the history of the German aviation community as I could.  Such loss...an entire generation, and more.  The world will never see again, air combat on the scale and scope of that during WW2.  It's up to us who follow after, to insure it never forgets it.

Thanks, as always.

I completely agree. That's why the book is in such ratty condition. I know I've read it well over ten times cover to cover. It's one of those books you don't want to set down. At least for me.

Ty Stampf found an older hardcover on Amazon for with good jacket for under $10.00. If you have not read it try "Masters of the Sky's, by Donald Miller, it is the most well documented work on the 8th Airforce I have ever read.
