I've been learning the 109's the last few days (G14 & K4) but figured I'd post a few films from tonight of some gangbangs gone bad. :devil
First one I have no clue how I made it out alive. I had just taken off and was low slow and heavy with fuel. Was jumped by 5 cons in a TnB on the deck. Not really the K-4's strong point. Luckily two squad mates helped out but I killed 3 of them. 8)

The second is actually the sortie just before the one above. I was at alt and a bunch of cons was gang banging Daisycutter down low. I had to deal with the first Niki and Daisy took off with 3 or 4 chasing him. Killed the niki and tried to get back to Daisy but they killed him B4 I could catch up. So I killed them. :t (well got an assist on the last one after he augured with the PW I gave him)

Figured I'd post the films because they were pretty fun fights, specially the first one.
...edit
opps I meant to post this in the films forum. Skuzzy you can move it if you need to.

I thought this thread was about something else, what a let down. :uhoh

I've posted a few that I died in..
Actually here is one.. I got a ditch out of it, but you get a good look at what Betty's tail feathers look like up close.. :D

Also Lambo if you are reading, this is that film you squeaked about me on 200 for HOing you.. As you can see it clearly was not a HO but a frontal deflection shot.
Anyway if anyone has Gangbangs Gone Bad films post them up.. :rock

HO and high deflection shots are both cheap.
Best thing to do is to defeat your opponent by getting behind his 3/9 line first. Then you can kill him.
Many people do not HO and want to avoid a nose to nose situation, so they let some pressure off their stick, instead of continuing to pull hard into their opponent.

Difference is if you watch the film, he wasn't attempting to miss a Ho, I got the deflection by getting myself in position to take the shot. Not by him ducking to avoid a HO. I caught him as he was turning around and hit him with a frontal deflection. Then he went on 200 crying about how I HOed him and he should have pulled the trigger and all this non sense. You can see in the vid he never even had a chance to pull the trigger because he didn't have a shot and wasn't even close to having one.
Was nothing cheap about that shot and besides that he tried to do the exact same shot on me just before I killed Betty, so he has no room to complain about it.
-
Let em whine, most that do are just looking for an excuse why they died, like it matters anyway. Most HO whines aren't even a true so called HO anyway IMO. Even if the are, I could care less about hearing about it on 200. No one really cares about what the whinner on 200 says anyway.
Oh and wtg go on the kills btw.

I'll HO you both any day!

Sadly this is what this game is coming to. Noobs who never bother learning how to dogfight and instead spend their days HO'ing and ramming whilst they head to the biggest friendly dar on the map they can. Gang banging is the current trend as well.
Yesterday I got into it with Kappa when he was in a 38 and I was in a Spit-16. He made an initial barrel roll back under me and I could have taken a cheap deflection spray cause I knew immediately I was in trouble and hadn't managed me E good enough. Instead I let it play out and even tho I got shot down I learned something. Had I been whats becoming typical nowadays I'd have taken one cheap shot and ran back to my horde. Now I have a better idea what the P-38 is capable of.
Later I upped about 6 times in a row against long odds. Again, when the gangbanging horde wasnt HO'ing or ramming me, I got some good practice in and even downed a few even tho we were outnumbered.
Quality fights are really becoming quite rare. And my joke about "films of losing" was said in jest.

I was up in a P51D heading out to a carrier fight. The main gang bang was in full session near the land base. I flew to an area away from the masses. I spotted a lone P51 and attacked it. I was having a great fight when suddenly one of the friendlies had found us and shot the guy down.
I augured and signed off.

i got gangbangedeledifing one time on ah2 so i turned my plane around and put a 40mm bullet throu the pilots head and went upside down over the last b25 then i rammed it >#?

Great k4 flying crokett.
I looked at the lambo ho incident.
Here are two screen shots. The first one is the first pass u made. And the second is the kill shot pass. As you clearly see there is no ho....its not even close. You are at least 45 deg angle off nose both times. But when Lambo is looking in forward up tracking you it probably "looks" like a ho.

Well I live on high deflection nose shots...also known as a snap shot....that is not a cheap shot. HO shots are and I dispise them. This is not a ho. As the two screen shots show its not even close. As for getting behind the 3/9 line that is for you 50 call laser shots. I try to get at 90 deg angle off to the 3/9 line and take a snap as they go by. With 30mm taters you have to make your shots like this. Tracking tail shots are the most difficlult.
Oh and it is not my fault when they hang on there prop chasing me up and I am coming around for that nice stable juicy front quarter shot. I here ho whining all the time about this. I say.... well then dont hang on your prop in front of my guns. That is just pure mis judgment. They should have made a counter move.
I agree some/most dont want to ho and will concede the head on pass. BUT!!!!! if you do that by just flying under and giving a passing deflection shot then your freaken dead. If you are going to avoid a ho cause u know its coming for example then one should turn in a way that DOES NOT offer an easy cockpit defelction shot on the pass. ESPECIALLY in a furbal. 1v1 dualing is another matter.
My personal rule is this: If I HAVE a shot and YOU DO NOT then it is not a ho ( one exception to this is hanging on your prop in front of my guns). If we both have shots "on the merge" then it is a ho. So if you GIVE me a shot on a pass in a gangbangin furball im am going to blow your arse up....and then Salute you....heheheheh.

Yea I have to agree, you have to take these kinds of shots with a tatter plane. It's soo much easier to get faster positioning with a 50 cal plane or anything that shoots more than 1 big tatter. They have the opportunity to spray and prey a bit more because they send as lot more lead down range and have the luxury of hoping something hits. What I've found works well with the 109's is to put a round in front of them and let them run into it, which is what I was doing with him and wjat I did with the 1st kill in the 2nd film.
If you notice when I was on Betty's 6 before I killed lambo315 I had to sit there a wait a very long time to get that 1 good shot in. Had I been in a 50 cal plane there were several times I could have had spray and prey shots on her, but with that big tatter gun you have to wait and make it count.
I have to also agree with you on your personal rule, it's pretty much the same way I fly. I think I fly a clean fight 99% of the time and the only thing I'll HO is buffs.. :devil
