What should i use for my X52 to lube it up? some people say pam works the best.
-
Lithium grease.
-
K... what edog said.
-
Lithium grease.
I was thinking silicon oil...
I wouldn't use WD40 or anything else petroleum based for fear of eating away the plastic.
-
astro glide :D
-
I use 3 in 1 silicone spray
-
I use white lithium spray grease. (Vasaline, or reg. grease will work instead) also make sure you clean it before you lube it. I use a q-tip and some wd-40 to clean it up and get all the dust out.
If you use an oil you will have lube up alot, with the grease once every few monthes should do :aok

I use CH :)
-
if you add a wet lube to anything it will attract dust, i clean my x52 have never lubed it, i would ask saitek b4 lubeing it to see what they suggest.
-
I used to use baby oil on my Saiteks, THEN I got CH. (Now I must find new reasons to explain constantly getting shot down)

I knew I had to read this if bj229 posted to it. :rofl :rofl
However, I thought you were going to say "Now I have to find new reasons to explain using baby oil".

Do not used any kind of petroleum based oil. This will over time damage any plastic or rubber parts it contacts. (My X-45 base disintegrated because of this).
I use Sil-Glide... this is a lubricant for automotive brake parts, and is designed to be safe with the rubber boots and seals of brake calipers. You can probably pick some up at a local auto parts store (I'm an auto mechanic and my shop graciously 'donated' me a small tube for the cause).

ky... :rofl Just joking pam works great

Do not use WD 40 on any electronic parts as over time it will corrode and degrade the solder connections. I cleaned mine with alcohol on the pivot points then used while lithium grease as mentioned above. Q tips work wonders. :aok
