Jun-19:  The 78th launched in an effort to interecept the sporadic raids that were being reported along the front line.  After much futile chasing after contact reports the group was finally able to chase down a flight of P-51s and engage them.  The mission was a success with several Mustangs brought down for the loss of one Bf-109.

Nice pics, kind of funny to see you guys in LW shooting down a P-51 in 78th markings as in picture three. ;)

We wanted to go in and do some escorting but saw the lopsided numbers and switched. Took us a while to find the only base that had any fighters. Hope they get the map fixed sooner than soon.

Actually it's the 353rd skin, so we haven't been struck down by lightening.  :aok
