A short film from the action of last night in the AvA.
Pilot's perspective (http://www.vimeo.com/1229700) low altitude fighting. We ended up in the weeds most of these fights. All in all heaps of fun!
:salute
Btw, I'm having problems viewing this film myself. Is it viewable in its entireity?

I'm only seeing text for a bit more than half the vid. :noid

Hmmm, I'm having problems with it too. Can only see the first few frames of it, not sure what's up with that. Any ideas?

If you have problems viewing it, turn off HD (a little box in the viewer on the right hand side) and it should play properly.

Not so much a comment on the film, but on what I saw in it:
You seem to go from redout to blackout with the smallest of inputs, and NOT even at very high speeds (which you would think from the blackout frequency). I wonder if this is from your stick setup and/or the scaling on it?
-
No, it's because I was departing from my regular practice of not going low. In these fights I kinda treated the 152 as a turnfighter, which it really isn't. It turns decent though, especially for a 190, but I had way too much speed doing these maneuvers and ended up low and slow on the deck. This position forced me to extend to disengage later in the fight.
It's not because of my stick setup, it's set up precisely how I want it. I'm usually very gentle with the stick, but not in this film. If you watch it you see I have to do some violent evasive maneuvers too. If you want to see other takes on my flying just watch the other films.
Thanks for commenting, but it wasn't the film you commented really, but my flying. :lol
